Treatment Center Philosophy

WestCare Georgia's Boggs facility provides residential drug education and treatment services for adolescent males (ages 13-17) who have a history of substance abuse or dependence. Operating from the belief that addiction is rooted in illness, drug and alcohol abuse is treated with a broad-based approach that addresses the physical, behavioral and emotional aspects of the condition, and embraces the concept that behavioral changes can occur through positive peer support and peer pressure. Treatment includes individual and group therapy, and extensive education in life skills, coping mechanisms and relapse prevention.

Meet The Staff

Jeffery Caudill
Senior Vice President

Jeff Caudill is a retired Commander with the Kentucky State Police. In addition to routine police services, Jeff was in charge of the oversight for homicide, sex abuse (to include child sexual abuse investigations), narcotics investigations, and public corruption. Jeff holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Appalachian School of Law, and he is a licensed attorney in the state of Kentucky. Over the last several years, he had the opportunity to see firsthand the benefits that WestCare brought to his home state. Prior to WestCare's entrance in Kentucky, the community was tired of witnessing individuals and even children dying on a regular basis from drug overdoses. WestCare and its dedicated staff made a profound difference to the state, and they have helped so many people gain a second chance at life. Jeff is proud to be a part of such an organization, and he looks forward to working every day to continue to help those in need.

Dick Steinberg
President and CEO

Richard (Dick) E. Steinberg has been President/CEO of WestCare Foundation since 1978 when he joined Fitzsimmons House and a year later became the Director. Currently, Mr. Steinberg is responsible for developing a management team to operate all aspects of the respective agencies including board development, program design and implementation, fiscal, facility management and legal matters, treatment protocols, resource development, and community relationships. He is responsible for providing leadership throughout the WestCare Foundation network to develop new programs and services for vulnerable populations and their families and has a personal stake in this mission.
