WestCare Georgia's Boggs facility provides residential drug education and treatment services for adolescent males (ages 13-17) who have a history of substance abuse or dependence. Operating from the belief that addiction is rooted in illness, drug and alcohol abuse is treated with a broad-based approach that addresses the physical, behavioral and emotional aspects of the condition, and embraces the concept that behavioral changes can occur through positive peer support and peer pressure. Treatment includes individual and group therapy, and extensive education in life skills, coping mechanisms and relapse prevention.
Detox.net is a third-party resource for consumers seeking addiction treatment. We list thousands of treatment providers throughout the U.S., often including alumni and staff ratings and reviews, and editorial reviews that provide valuable information for people making difficult decisions. Detox.net is not influenced in regards to its ratings or reviews by any treatment center or its sponsors, and we clearly designate advertiser relationships with "Sponsor" or "Ad" or "Advertisement”.
Jeff Caudill is a retired Commander with the Kentucky State Police. In addition to routine police services, Jeff was in charge of the oversight for homicide, sex abuse (to include child sexual abuse investigations), narcotics investigations, and public corruption. Jeff holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Appalachian School of Law, and he is a licensed attorney in the state of Kentucky. Over the last several years, he had the opportunity to see firsthand the benefits that WestCare brought to his home state. Prior to WestCare's entrance in Kentucky, the community was tired of witnessing individuals and even children dying on a regular basis from drug overdoses. WestCare and its dedicated staff made a profound difference to the state, and they have helped so many people gain a second chance at life. Jeff is proud to be a part of such an organization, and he looks forward to working every day to continue to help those in need.More
