This is by far the worst rehab facility you could go to! They call themselves a dual diagnosis facility which is not the case what so ever. All they do is treat drug and alcohol addictions their mental health side of things is absolutely terrible. I would not recommend this place for anyone! There are illegal activities that go on here such as HIPA violations and clients touching their own medications daily. The “techs” handle passing out daily medication because the place is too cheap to hire another nurse on staff. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

No treatment center, or rehab will ever be perfect. You will find faults anywhere you go, especially if you look hard enough. But Wellness Resource Center, in my opinion, is one of the best. After 4 years, I am still connected with the alumni program and the team at WRC continue to support me with any needs I may have. Thank you WRC! -GF

This place literally saved my life. I cannot ever fully express my gratitude to the dedicated staff who have supported and encouraged me even after I completed treatment. The therapists and techs helped lift me up even when I didn't believe I deserved it. I would highly recommend Wellness.

I have been working in the addiction field since 1980. I have seen treatment center come and go. I find Well was to be stable, reliable and determined to provide good treatment. Many of the treatment team have worked at Wellness for many years. I am proud to have the opportunity to provide consultant care for them since 2013.

Horrible place that cares more about money and reputation so that they can keep making money than the clients, themselves. 80% of the things they tell you about the facility and the program before entering treatment is not true. Staff is bad and lower staff is treated horrible. Don’t send your loved one here please.

Thankfully I had strong therapists who gave me direction. As alcoholics and drug addicts, we spend large sections of our lives avoiding direction of any kind. Being told to do things like make my bed, participate in group therapy, and not fraternize with the opposite sex were new and initially unwelcome experiences for me, but it made all the difference. From a cost perspective, I read these other reviews and it boggles my mind. Wellness is extremely cost-effective. You would be paying essentially double if not more for any other inpatient program. I had done residential treatment at other facilities and they were essentially vacations. I went there, hung around for 28 days or so, and then went home. I had a host of other co-occurring issues, such as untreated bipolar disorder, self-harm, disordered eating, and co-dependency, along with my addiction, that were not addressed by these other programs. Wellness is not a vacation - Wellness is a place where you come to do work on yourself. I have been sober for almost 5 years now in large part thanks to Wellness. At the end of the day, the best way to find an appropriate treatment program is through a professional referral. I was referred to Wellness by a clinician who I trusted because she had patients who succeeded at Wellness.

Not only is this place EXTREMELY unprofessional. The actions they take to handle consequences are belligerent. My mother was there for treatment. Not only did they inform us of the wrong price and then demanded we pay $4500 THAT day because of the mistake they made. They, gave us the wrong prices and then their comment was "We had to be STUPID to think we would get any treatment for that price". No admittance to quoting us a wrong price, no apology, nothing. Then upon taking my mother to a doctor for anxiety and labs. She was not informed of the results, and contacted my sister and gave her the results. Following that, instead of contacting my us for payment of the doctors appointment. They saved my mothers boyfriend card information(from the initial downpayment). But contacted him for payment of the doctors visit instead of us. Which was wrong because his name was nowhere on the contract or was he stated anywhere as a point of contact. We have received ZERO emails of receipts, admittance emails or anything regarding my mother. Even as promised receipts and phone calls, neither were received. Treatments and facilities ways are not carried out as promised and stated on the website. Upon a week of following the lies, crooked ways and wrong doings. We decided to drive and get her. We did not inform them due to prior patients informing us they WILL put them out if not cooperating with their ways. We live 10 hours away and reached the facility at 9am. Upon arrival we walked in to speak with the counselor whom was LOVELY! She helped my mother SOOO much, only the best interest in mind. (Greeted by the person who gave us the wrong information whom had no apologies or things to say, only a very rude attitude) After constant attempts to convince us to leave her at the facility, we were not forcing her to leave. She agreed to. The facility director wanted to speak with me and my sister, especially after finding out of the wrong doings and contracts breached. We stated all of our issues to her as we did with the counselor. She very rudely informed us that she heavily advised against us taking our mother home, that we were making a huge mistake, that my mother was a raging alcoholic and we would let her continue down the same path because the new facility we planned to put her in couldn't help her. Which I found extremely unprofessional. My sister eventually became upset and informed the woman we would be leaving, with my mother, and no other payments would be made. Then the director stood up and told us that we had to wait 72 hours before we were allowed to receive any of her belongings, documents, contracts and even that we could not take my mother with us. At that moment we walked out and my mother continued to speak with the counselor. After a moment I went in to get my mother where the woman wouldn't let me in the room, I overheard them attempting to convince my mother to stay, that she HAD to stay so I made my way into the room. My name is in the contract as a point of contact and someone to oversee any processes. Upon entrance of the room the director demanded I get out and I had no right to be in there. Where I stated I had FULL rights to be apart of the conversation of her discharge and future treatment plans after leaving. She followed with arguing with me, demanding I get out and that she wouldn't disclose any information with me. For my mothers sake I stepped out. Where I then overheard her say that we(my sister and I) were Brats, and we were going to KILL my mother and let her go back downhill! At that moment my mother stepped out and I demanded we left at that moment. This is a VERY LONG story made as short as possible. I do not recommend sending anyone to this facility. Not only are they money hungry, they are liars and extremely unprofessional. My sister and I went in very calmly with our heads on our shoulders but once she decided to argue with us, I became angered. We left without any paperwork, they refused to give us any of her items(clothes, money, birth certificate, insurance cards etc). The pictures on the website are not true, the rooms are shared by anywhere of 4-5 people at a time. Group sessions are numbered around 25 and it is stated as more of a screaming match. Not only are these words from my mother but other patients as well whom spoke with me and informed me of these things. Patients are hardly monitored, in the hour I was there 2 patients were behind the building smoking marijuana. I was told multiple patients have brought in alcohol, drugs and acted sexually in the bathrooms and things. This company is sideways, crooked and extremely unprofessional. For the amount of money you are gonna pay, you can get somewhere MUCH better for yourself or loved one. I am not one to make a bad review or bash any company, but this company has done nothing but put a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that you took the time to read this to better inform yourself. To the Wellness center, I hope in time you can grow as a company and I appreciate what help you did provide my mother.

My daughter went to Wellness over three years ago now and she is still sober to this day. This place works miracles. She is now able to achieve her dreams because of the therapists doctors and case managers that showed her the way. She really benefitted from the Step Down program which helped her build a resume, get a job, move to a halfway house, and provided her with life skills which she never had before. So grateful!

Other than the amazing therapist and clients I had the honor and pleasure of hearing my issues, the facility and organization itself is below any standard I have ever encountered. The photos themselves are very misleading. I highly recommend NEVER sending a loved one here.

In early Feb 2016 I began looking for a long term inpatient substance abuse/mental health treatment facility for my son. He was refusing treatment but I started looking so that I would be ready to go when he decided to accept some help. I spoke with a woman from Wellness who assured me that my insurance was accepted and told me the out of pocket cost would be $3-$4k/mo. I stopped looking for another facility at that time as Wellness had been recommended to me by a few professionals (who knew I was looking for long-term, inpatient treatment) and it was also recommended in a book I read. Mid-April, 2016 my son decides he is ready for help. He calls Wellness for his “intake” call. An hour or so later, a gentleman calls my son back and says our insurance is not accepted. They tell me I will be a direct pay which will cost $9,340/mo. and they need it all up front. My son was in a vulnerable state and has always refused treatment so I agreed. In speaking with the man from Wellness he advised me to book a flight for the next day as often when addicts have time before treatment they will change their minds or go out to party one last time and overdose. The man said to have my flight info ready when he called back in a few hours. I booked a flight, waited for a return call and tried to be patient. Around 5:30 pm I started to get nervous so I called and the office was already closed! Through another contact, I was able to have someone from Wellness get in touch with him after hours and he called me. He said he would email me a Financial Agreement and I was to sign it and fax it back that same night. The Financial Agreement was not clear at all. It made zero sense to me but at this point I was desperate and unable to speak with anyone from the facility again that night. I was worried that if I didn’t sign it that night, he would lose the bed and I wouldn’t even know until we arrived in FL the following afternoon. When we arrived at Wellness, the man was running around like a mad man working on other intakes for the day so we were passed off to a new guy whose name I do not recall. He could not clearly explain the Financial Agreement to me either but did assure me that I would not have to pay any more than the $9,340 for the first 4 weeks (aside from food and cigarette money) and that my insurance would not be accepted by Wellness. I was completely exhausted and was trying to make my flight home that same evening, so I just left. Four weeks went by without them billing our credit card! My son agreed to stay an additional 4 weeks when a woman from the billing department called and asked me to please send her another copy of the Financial Agreement. They lost the first copy somehow. I faxed her the Agreement and paid an additional $8,160 for the additional 4 weeks. In the mail, I started receiving EOB’s from Blue Cross for my son’s treatment at a place called Twelve Oaks (which is mentioned nowhere in our Financial Agreement). When I called Blue Cross, they told me Twelve Oaks was billing for Intensive Outpatient Treatment. I called the woman at Wellness and she attempted to explain why I was “direct pay” while simultaneously they were billing my insurance company after telling me my insurance was not accepted. Her attempts to explain were unsuccessful and she later involved the CFO and the company’s Director. No one could explain why I was being treated as a direct pay and they were also billing Blue Cross but everyone agreed we were due a refund. For months I have been talking to a different person every time I call Wellness. My son was discharged on 5/13/16 and as of 12/18/16 they have not sent a refund of any sort but claim they will be sending $850.00, which is outrageous. Paragraph 1 of the Financial Agreement says $2,275/week for TREATMENT…not housing which they now claim. Why in the world would I sent my son all the way to Florida for outpatient treatment and then pay $7,500/mo. for him to share an apartment with 3 other men? Wellness is clearly making their money on their mandatory housing fee and they DO NOT state that up front when you’re dealing with them over the phone or in person! I signed this “contract” under duress and I am considering contacting an attorney at this point. They are in network for my Insurance Company and refuse to bill the housing expense because I signed this crud in an attempt to save my son’s life. There is no reason it should not be billed properly which is all I have asked of them this entire time!

This is the poorest excuse for a rehab that I have ever seen in my life. I did not attend this facility and I am so sorry that I put a loved one though this. Thank God that THEY determined they could not medically provide care for my loved one after ONE day. I am not going into details. Suffice it to say in my opinion I don\'t think they have the brain power to treat a goldfish. They would have better luck opening a bar then to try and treat alcoholism. I am also a grateful recovering alcoholic of 12 years who had the great fortune of not dealing with these people. I thank God for watching over me. 10/25/2016

This treatment facility is incredibly adept at convincing that their life depends on staying longer. It doesn\'t. the facility specializes in convincing younger clients to stay in South Florida \"for their recovery.\" I went for 90 days and finally escaped South Florida AA, which is very clearly a cult, after having lost half a decade. Resembles Venus Fly Trap.

All of the employees seem to care. Many of the lay staff are in AA/NA. There is plenty of structure and accountability. The treatment center and the residences are at 2 close but different locations. There is to much time wasted shuttling back and forth. I went to this facility experiencing severe depression in my 27th year of sobriety. I needed help. I was treated like everyone else. I believe that they helped me even though I'm not sure in hindsight if their facility is really where I belonged.

This facility has a protect the heard mentality and denies, defies, and lies to cover their a**. They were a walking contradiction, you would never get the same response from the staff on simple matters even, or their favorite is \"Pass the buck\". You can easily spend a whole week trying to get an answer from \" the right person \". They were consistenty out of replies as I would clearly and accurately confront them on violating patient rights and/or providing what they claim to offer. One example is I recieved 2 1on1\'s in four weeks, when the MINIMUM is one per week. Nothing was ever accomplished in our sessions. The director didn\'t even know the clients went to the beach on the weekends let alone the rest of the schedule. It was very frustrating to listen to their ignorance and pride, what happened to helping the suffering addict.... Honestly... What are you guys really doing over there. You\'ve lost your path, your initial purpose, if there ever was one even. It makes me sad to see people getting provided false hope and not receiving the help they need and this facility claims they will provide. Please spread the word to advocate for what you are promised and deserve, the right treatment these facilities claim and so often never fulfill. May God bless you and guide you back to why you are in this field. Your dealing with addicts who will 100% of the time display such behavior or act out in different ways. If you claim to be equipped and provide help with these issues as well, then do so. Don\'t act surprised and disgusted, like you can\'t believe this current did such a thing.... If you\'re still operating like that, you obviously have not been in this field long enough.

I am forever grateful for the Wellness Resource Center and their dedicated staff with my 20 yr old daughter. They are strict, tough but dedicated and caring. They don't believe 28 days is enough and they ease the patient back into normalcy--not just releasing them to fare for themselves. They also educated me and kept me informed. Excellent staff and solid program philosophy. Not sure if this is necessarily a weakness but they are very controlling and strict.
