I didn't like how I was treated when I was there. I had a lot of problems dealing with their rules & regulations, plus dealing with the peers themselves. Veritas is a therapeutic community. They adhere to strict rules which involves doing what you were told, especially by peers that are younger than you. If one person did something wrong that's really out there, the whole house suffers by a shutdown. This happened to me a couple of times. Another girl who was an older peer, had a problem regarding her daughter and did what she thought was right as a mother. I myself had my share of problems in that treatment facility, myself. For me, it was extremely unpleasant. I've been yelled at by the counselors & peers a few times . I just didn't like it. I was also dealing with depression as well because I was only allowed to see my children once a month. And then dealing with the rules of the community & the peers, was too much for me. I didn't last there. I made it for four months there, then I was thrown out. But, I proved them wrong. I did stay clean from when I left, and did better in another facility.
