Very impressive at first but so much drama. Seems focus is scattered and not on patients. Also, some counselors have more issues than those they are trying to council and they don't hesitate to mention it. Services were promised upon arrival that never happened. I'm nit so sure this is the best place for everyone. I would not recommend it.

My husband stayed 3 weeks, it appears after $10,000 paid by insurance, we owe $6,000. You cannot heal the mind and body while eating sugar, dairy, gluten, processed meats, etc. They do not teach outside of their AA box. My husband has been a roller coaster since he has been home (just like he is when drinking/on drugs). But my biggest complaint is that I believe we got head AND body live from the facility. We are a large family and it has been a nightmare in attempting to rid our family of these parasites. The stress has only increased since his stay.

Its a facility that wants to help you, if your really ready to make a change in your addiction. Has a structured environment but a relaxed atmosphere to help with your steps toward recovery. I would Recommend it to anyone that needs help. Staff are very helpful.

I thought it was great facility. It was clean, affordable and there was excellent family participation. However, there could have been more holistic options available.

There is way too much down time when there is lots of activities that could be offered. No access to television, phones, work out machines, etc.. was a downfall. However, despite this it was a wonderful treatment center.

Good program. Better for middle aged and above. The staff is very good but I did not enjoy the forced spirituality.

Great program. Even has RN's administering medications. You rarely see this in tx. Most of the time it is simply a med. tech.

Great
My counselor was very good at her job. The groups were led my the counselors rather than people that didn't have experience. Detox is good. Medication assisted treatment is available. They allow you to go to outside meetings & the meetings they go to are some of the best I have attended. The facility has a lot of outdoor area to walk around including woods in the back. You sleep in very nice cabins. When not in group there is always something going on with the clients, you get a very solid support network. You can smoke anytime(unless you are in group) There is a walmart nearby if you ever need anything like a toothbrush and you can have your own personal snacks, soda, and coffee. Valley hope offers a very personal experience. Its obvious they care about their clients which is different than most Tx places that see their clients a dollor signs rather than individual people. My counselor has kept up with my progress and after a year clean you get to go back for a ceremony that celebrates your clean time. They really help you with an aftercare plan, getting into a sober living house, and they have intensive outpatient in Booneville and St. Louis

I was very scared but they made me feel very comfortable. The staff were always available to discuss issues I was having. The group sessions were very helpful and counseling was great. Great people who work at Valley Hope, and most are recovering addicts/alcoholics as well.
