Treatment Center Philosophy

Founded in 2003, Turnbridge operates gender-separate programs for young men and young women who have been afflicted with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Since its inception over 13 years ago, Turnbridge has received national acclaim for its innovative treatment model that has redefined the way our industry approaches the “failure to launch” population. Turnbridge clients progress through three Phases of structure, whereby each Phase is designed to build upon the previous one. The ultimate goal for Turnbridge graduates is that they’re actively working or taking classes, engaged in therapy, participating in active social lives, attending 12-step meetings, and actively practicing independent living skills.

be very careful choosing this place. Check how many therapists have left. Check how many case managers have left. This is not a place you want to send a loved one.

The longer term Turnbridge program was completely necessary and helpful for my son. We had seen him "white knuckle" and remain drug free for 30-60 days and then binge and so we knew that a 30 day "rehab" would be useless. And with the longer term program, not only do clients learn to live sober but they develop a sober network, learn life skills like cooking and budget management, learn to work at a possibly boring job without the "fun" of drugs, and they have the time to really examine themselves and think about what they want from life other than drug use. The staff provides fun activities including sports outings to NYC and Boston which helps develop connections and friendships. They require volunteer work and employment when clients are ready so that clients integrate back into society in a healthy and productive way. The case managers and staff all are either in recovery or have family members in recovery so that can truly empathize and advise clients without judgement and with a real understanding of how difficult, yet rewarding, working towards sobriety can be. The case managers all invest themselves deeply and personally in helping the residents. And the communication with parents is outstanding--not just updates but advice on how to manage your own struggles and your relationship with your child. They hold clients accountable for actions and hold a mirror up so that clients really have to be honest about their own responsibility in creating and sustaining a sober life. Our son is returning to college with a roommate and friends from Turnbridge. The discharge process was thorough in making sure the proper budgeting and psychiatric care was set up to ease the transition. The dedicated care for clients, the clean and well kept facilities, the parental communication and education--all of these make me able to highly recommend Turnbridge for any young adults struggling with addiction.

I came to turnbridge for help with my addiction problems in a safe, nurturing, supportive environment. In the first few months of the treatment I was housed with 30 other girls, had a great supportive understanding case manager and all was good. When I got to the third phase of the program I was stuck with a case manager who treated everyone the same, never heard me out when I was having an issue with the treatment and blamed most things on higher up faculty. I was forced to make my living space perfect 100% of the time and threatened with losing funds, phones, and fun time if I was not to standard. I spent almost 7 months living with constant anxiety and fear and not focused on my recovery. If you/your children know how to take care of themselves/clean up after themselves. Do not send them to turnbridge. It’s a waste of money and time.

This place purports to provide a range of mental health services. My son was at Turnbridge for an entire year. Not only was he misdiagnosed and overly medicated by the medical staff, they did everything in their power to tell us that everything was fine and persuade us that we should keep our son there. Turnbridge just wanted our money. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Turnbridge is a great place with people who care. We placed our son there after two other rehab places who tried their best but were not sophisticated enough to manage him. He had no history of drug abuse or any trauma that anyone is aware of, no family history of addiction or mental illness, and came from a happy, functional, comfortable family. Off to college and by midyear a Meth addict. We believe there is some mental illness and anxiety issue. He just can cope with life and makes bad choices. He walked out of Tunbridge in phase two one day, after 5 months. The staff was amazing and did everything they could to get him back. The support has been beyond belief. Our son claims he is sober although we have not seen him in 8 months(long story). Any comments that are critical about lies or money on this thread is nonsense. I believe it is a way for people who are not in recovery, or looking to blame someone, to rationalize what they are doing or don't do. God bless the people at Tunbridge, they do amazing work. They often have a thankless job.

I think addiction rehabilitation is an area where you get what you pay for. Turnbridge is expensive, but our son has been sober for 2-1/2 years thanks to the people who work there. Our son's case managers were guys who talk the talk and walk the walk. It's not just a job to them, but real relationships developed and I could tell they really care about him. My husband and I truly believe that Turnbridge saved our son's life. I know that we'll hit some bumps in the road moving forward -- that's life with addiction -- but now at least we have a chance, and HE has a chance.

I've been out of TB for over 7 months. I smoked pot before and never touched anything else. They told my parents that if I left before a year I would die from an overdose. I never wanted to be sober. I was forced here and dragged through the longest 9 months of my life. My parents were lied too. They will lie to you. They will ruin your life and I hope to God anyone reading this decides to go elsewhere. Stay as far away from Turnbridge as possible!

In July 2016 my daughter walked through the doors at TurnBridge in New Haven. This is a nationally acclaimed long term treatment program for both young men and women. The women's program was just opening but the men's program had received national recognition for its success over the past 15 years. It came highly recommended to us. Thanks to the program criteria and dedicated staff is finding her way through this awful disease. After completing a year+ at TB she successfully and honorably graduated the program and just celebrated her 2nd year anniversary. Had tried other programs but nothing has been like the TurnBridge women's program. Would not be where she is today without TurnBridge, their program and their staff from the top down. Your 24/7 dedication and expertise is extraordinary and we are eternally grateful. It truly takes a village to battle this horrific disease. TurnBridge is one heck of a village to have in your corner.

Turnbridge is not the place for a motivated young adult. It’s very restrictive & controlling. The population in Phase 1 is young and unmotivated residents who are forced by family to be there. Residents can’t go out for a walk unattended. Residents spend a lot of time just hanging out. Would not recommend this place.

My son actually was worse off for having gone to Turnbridge. He was screamed at by his case manager who called him a waste of life, useless, and a total waste of space incapable of accomplishing anything. We obviously got assigned another case manager after that but that guy is still there. Another residential director is a semi-pro gambler. Great role models! My son was discharged with no transition plan, without his medications, and without providing us any records. important to note none of what Ive said thus far is an opinion. On to my opinion: Some of the case managers are good, but there case loads are too big. The lower level staff that the client will spend most of his time with are very young, in early sobriety, and have no idea how to deal with people who don't have problems, no less some who may. And have their own problems. Look for a place with a much smaller population and a better CREDENTIALED professional to client ratio. Turnbridge is driven primarily by profits, which in of itself isn't necessarily a bad thing, but just good to know. Its been a long road, and if you are reading this its probably has been for you and the family as well. Im sure you, like me, have had to make many difficult decisions. Some good, some bad. Deciding to send my son to Turnbridge, and keep him in that environment for months was the single most regrettable decision I've made. I hope this review can help you or your loved one get beyond the pretty building and smooth sales pitch so you can find a more serious treatment facility, not a glorified frat house with a one size fits all approach implemented primarily by people who themselves in need of help .

The program at Turnbridge was invaluable for our 20 year old son. The clinicians, case managers and house managers provided compassion, guidance and advice and helped him develop life skills, strategies and tools to help him implement structure and discipline and to cope with his emotions and ups/downs of life. The professionals at Turnbridge are all in recovery and really understand the process their clients are going through and what they need to move forward. We will be forever grateful for the people at Turnbridge and the amazing progress they helped our son accomplish.

I was a client on the Turnbridge mens side of the program for roughly a year. This year was the most beneficial one of my life. I experienced the most growth I have ever experienced in my life. The impact made was one that saved me and made me into who I believe I was meant to be as a person. My family was watching me throw my life away, and my relationship with them had become distant and broken. Turnbridge was instrumental in their role in repairing this relationship. Today, my parents have their son back and my siblings have their brother back. Turnbridge provided me with an exceptional individual therapist that I worked weekly with throughout my entire stay. As an alum I maintain this relationship and weekly meeting with the same therapist. My prescribing APRN met with me monthly to track my progress and make sure all my needs medically were being met. My case manager along with my family therapist helped myself and my family repair our relationships and make us a family again. Turnbridge referred me to amazing outside therapy for treating my PTSD. My experience with Turnbridge clinical services was a 5 out of 5 stars. The streamlining of communications between therapists, APRN, case manager, etc. Made me feel like I had very active support team. My case managers genuinely cared about my progress and provided 24/7 support whenever it was needed. I had a history of trying to do everything on my own, to not listen to anyones advice, and Turnbridge helped show me how accepting and asking for help is a much healthier way to live. I was able to practice and improve my life skills, from basic to advanced, and turn them into repetitive habits. Turnbridge was very active in helping me find work to learn how to manage and budget money, and to have a job to hold myself accountable. Turnbridge helped me build a life where I could be financially independent. I used to care less about my living environment, now I live in a way where I come home from work to a clean and healthy living environment. Even as a college graduate with prior work experience, I still needed help with these essential living skills. Turnbridge provided me a supportive setting to build these habits. I have built a life that where I am happy, that I no longer want to throw away. Once a hopeless individual with no sign of hope in the future due to alcohol and drug abuse, I now am optimistic of my life going forward. I can't thank Turnbridge and its staff enough. Not only were they helpful to me as an individual the education and support they provided my parents was incredible. This place helped me save my life and I plan on remaining involved as much as possible as a alum of the program going forward.

My son spent a year at Turnbridge (Feb. 2017-'18) and is now living in their newly-opened sober living house. Very hard to put into words just how I feel about Turnbridge. When your child is approaching death's doorstep and you put him in the hands of strangers it is an extremely scary moment. You read the reviews, speak to Admissions, try and speak around to get feedback about Turnbridge...you do what you can in a short amount of time to get as much info as possible. Ultimately, it is a crap-shoot whether things will turn out well for your child. But, I must tell you it did not take long to realize that Turnbridge was the real deal. As a parent, you are never in the dark about how your child is doing. Weekly discussions with Turnbridge staff occur throughout your child's stay...and if you need immediate assistance someone is always available to address whatever question or issue you have. And, the parent and family programs, support groups, educational workshops, and meetings are frequent and on-going throughout your child's stay...you are NEVER in the dark about anything pertaining to your child's progress and you are always supported as a parent or family member. The 3 phase healing approach that Turnbridge follows allows for the perfect reintegration process that is required for your child to heal, find sobriety, learn skills, gain confidence, and ultimately find a life of independence and wellness. Throughout my son's stay he frequently would tell me how easy and well he related to both Turnbridge staff and fellow clients...how much insight and guidance he would regularly gain from them. It is why he has been successful in his path to wellness...because of the way Turnbridge is he wanted to be there. How very important it is for any treatment program to create the atmosphere where the client feels secure and wants to be a part of it. It is the only way for one to achieve success. Turnbridge is so much more than an excellent addiction treatment program...it is a collection of truly unbelievable human beings whose life commitment is to help and heal others. It never appears like it is a job that they are doing...it really all seems like it is their life mission to be doing what they're doing. Amazing!

I graduated from the Turnbridge Women’s program last summer and attended through all three phases. The 3-phase model was crucial to my success in sobriety, because when I came to Turnbridge I had no idea how to do anything without drugs and alcohol, and adult tasks overwhelmed me with anxiety. The facilities, including the multiple Phase 3 properties, are beautiful and well-maintained; I wish I could give more than 5 stars in that department. Being in treatment is hard work, and the rewards of sobriety do not always provide the instant gratification of drugs and alcohol. Turnbridge has a well-practiced model that gives young people the tools to do that difficult work. Thanks to this program, I’m celebrating two years of sobriety, and I feel so grateful to have experienced a treatment model like this that really works.

Turnbridge saved my life and lead me on a path so that I could get my career back. I attended TB from June 2016-November 2017. This was not an easy journey but well worth my time. Did I want to be there initially? No! Slowly, I acclimated to the girls in the house and the professionals that were willing to do anything to save my life. I truly benefitted from the long-lasting friendships I made, IOP, recreation activities, meetings, and the education I received from every single staff member about the disease of addiction. Seeing as this is a family disease, family therapy allowed my parents and me to connect while having a mediator. This was imperative to my family. After being there for 17 months, I can honestly tell you how much Turnbridge cares for your actual well-being and will do just about anything to help you succeed and be the best version of yourself that you can be.

I was a client at turnbridge from January 2017-January 2018. I came in with over a year of sobriety voluntarily. I am now discharged and living independently in Florida. I am sober two and a half years. Inpatient rehab taught me how to get sober, Turnbridge taught me how to live sober. I was lucky to be placed in the care of world class staff. They were professional, treated me with kindness and respect, wanted to see me succeed, listened to my needs, and helped me through the normal anxieties that come with re-integrating into life after getting sober. I am still in contact with many of the staff and administration at Turnbridge. They don't just discharge you and not keep in touch. They genuinely want to see how I am doing and wish for my continued success and sobriety. I found that most of the staff I regularly interacted with were doing what they did because they personally in some way were either affected by this disease or knew who someone who was and genuinely wanted to make a difference in the lives of the women they worked with. I have very fond memories of this place.

My son graduated from the Turnbridge program in November. He is a different young man because of his time there. They really worked on not only the addiction but the underlying psychological and emotional aspects of his addiction. I had a scared, irritable addict on my hand when he started the program and he is now more confident of himself, mature and has even been hired by Turnbridge as Phase 1 and Phase 2 support staff. I couldn't be more proud of him and happier that he has decided to stay in an environment that is so supportive and professional. All of the staff are very impressive and I can't say enough about how great the communication was during my son's program.

We sent our son to Trunbrige because he was suffering from substance abuse, trauma, and PTSD and did not care if he lived or died. The results of the success of his treatment at Turnbrige is best shown in a recent message: "if you told me a year ago that i would be living in Connecticut and have been sober for a year, I would have said you were crazy. Now I am the happiest and most aware that I have ever been and have the power, ability and desire to help others I love the life I have today and I couldn't ask for more. I could not have done this alone." As his parents, we are sure that he wold not be where he is today had it not been for the skill, experience and dedication of the entire staff at Turnbridge who never gave up on our son.

Our son went to Turnbridge and has very recently been discharged after 11 months. He has come a long way and appears to have turned his attitude and lifestyle around from nonproductive to productive and hopeful. The length of this program gave him the time to rediscover himself and his talents. It takes more than 30 days to remove the negativity that the use of substances creates, and replace all of that with good habits and positive thinking. This facility isn't perfect, no place is, but the environment really benefitted our son. The town of New Haven adds to the program's success because its hard to walk around town without running into a successful Turnbridge alumni or current client. The guys seem to watch out for each other. Our son became friends with some very cool men who choose sobriety. There are many factors that contribute to success, including the work that the client and his/her family are willing to do. We are very hopeful that our son will successfully carry on with his life. He has learned coping skills that he did not previously possess. The staff at Turnbridge was impressive. They invested in him, taught him how to create a sober network and reinforced his value as a human being with great potential. Ultimately it is up to the client to do what he is asked to do.

The people at Turnbridge really set me up with the opportunity to live a sober life and took me away from my old lifestyle for long enough to focus on my future. My time there flew by and it was time really well spent. I got back into things that I took pride in before drinking. I started working out again, playing the guitar, and just hanging out and having fun sober. When I got out, I felt like I had this new life in place and they helped me achieve this with a smooth transition back into society. I had support from the whole community. I think the biggest benefit of the length of the program is how long you’re away from the substances to find new hobbies and healthy habits. It feels like I have something to hold onto and don’t want to give it away. I'm super grateful and glad to have the opportunity to leave this review and share my experience.

My son went all the way through Turnbridge. We had tried some rehab options here at home. Nothing in St. Louis compares to this long-term program. A heroin addiction cannot be addressed properly in 120 days, or even a few months, as I learned the hard way, even if the addict has a desire to recover. Dumping him or her back into the same crappy environment in white-knuckle sobriety doesn\'t seem like a good answer. This long-term commitment paid off for our family. One of Turnbridge\'s real claims to excellence, in my view, is that the young people are immersed in positive, fun recreational activities almost immediately. The counseling and support personnel are fantastic, to be sure, and no rehab facility can succeed without them. But there\'s nothing like sending your hollowed-out child away, and then within a very short time seeing him replaced with a happy, hopeful young man who declares, \"I didn\'t know I could have so much fun and not be high.\" Of course, that was only the beginning of his recovery, but I think if he hadn\'t gotten this positive experience right off the bat, the success might not be there. It was a long haul after that. Getting a job, receiving a bachelor\'s degree -- those were just pipe dreams at one point when keeping him alive to fight another day was all I could hope for. The environment is crucial, and giving these youngsters a beautiful setting and meaningful experiences cannot be underestimated. Turnbridge isn\'t cheap, but my son has his life back. He just got married to a wonderful girl, who we all love, and is very happy. There isn\'t enough thanks in the world for me to properly express my gratitude to David Vieau and this wonderful organization.

Currently at this program while there are few things I enjoy about it there are more things I hate. Accommodations are obviously awesome seeing you have to pay $11000 a month to receive treatment.. but really it\'s a glorified frat house. Filled with over privledged kids who don\'t even know how to use drugs let alone recover from them. People are here because their parents sent them here and have no interest in even being here. Or being sober. Overall the upper management is conniving, minipulative, and invansive to a unanswerable point. I\'ve lied and manipulated my whole life during my active addiction especially so how are they going to teach me otherwise when they\'re acting that same way with 8 years clean? There is favoritism, no individuality, and they act as if they are better than we are. I\'ve felt like I\'m bad my whole life and they made me feel worse. If you love your children do NOT send them here.

I intend to layout many of my feelings on the effectiveness of this program and how it is run. I was in the mens program and made it through all of the three phases as a model resident. coming to turnbridge was hard for me, but being told I could leave any time and I would only be there for a month was comforting (so i thought). The admission staff member was extremely nice and made me feel comfortable doing my intake and taking me to phase 1. As soon as i arrived i was greeted by the nice and caring support staff and fellow residence were all welcoming. My first full day there was interesting. Smoking cigarets was allowed and it seemed that most people there smoked, which i didn\'t partake in. I was told by a client that i had been lied to and that i would be here much longer than planned, staff lied and manipulated parents...Everything he said turned out to be true, but i figured ill just have to make the best of it trying to keep a positive attitude. Turnbridge is an \"individualized program\" so head staff says that people go through the phases at their own pace which is kind of true. Phase one seemed to really help residents, but is the shortest phase. when i got \"promoted\" to phase two, i was immediately told by the P2 manager that this was a depressing phase and that i will become sad. He was correct! not only is there much added stress due to new expectations, you finally get technology back plus they introduced discipline. my room mate had been in P2 for 7 months (average 2). again i blew right through phase 2 as i did 1. i learned not to trust staff and most clients because everyone is a snitch and it is encouraged to snitch even on little things as staff says \"its not snitching its saving lives.\" Also i had a job that paid more than support staff made, some clients even had more sober time than staff. forced to take public transport, may not take uber or lyft. So i got to phase 3. i thought to myself \"why am i here?\" P3 was not beneficial to me and most clients which is weird because it is 7+ months of the program. i soon attempted to leave for a whole month. This involved several family meetings where my parents were coached and so was i. Turnbridge has no interest in aftercare programs and only want you to stay for as long as they can hold you. my therapist disclosed information to other therapists and told my parents that i was \"high risk to relapse\"...the only way i could leave is having my parent come at an undisclosed time that the staff didn\'t know about. i felt trapped....So what can i say about TB? it is extremely effective in phase 1, but beyond the first 4-6 week average stay in P1 it is not about recovery, but how to live as a person. so if you are not a person who cant handle daily tasks this place is for you! my case manager told me crazy stories about the owner...P1 looks very nice and is used to attract clients, but the other facilities are not anything like it. This place is very good for people who are dealing with serious court cases, because turnbridge has pull, but i imagine other rehabs of this price point do too. i have serious problems with how this place is run and the way to manage clients and control their lives. if i were to do it again, i would go somewhere else.

As a professional in mental health and addiction services, I can say the young men I referred to Turnbridge did really well. Were they \"fixed\"? No. That\'s unrealistic given the nature of this generation\'s early onset of use and abuse. But the young men I referred acquired a basic skill set that they would use on their journey. I operate an intensive outpatient program. Sometimes kids need more--and need to be away from home. Whatever costs are incurred at Turnbridge, given the limitations of insurance, is worth the costs to insure that these high risk kids have a future. A good investment in their future.

This review will likely not be put onto the website because although this program has some great things to offer, it has an impression to manage and would likely want to avoid publicly owning it\'s inherent flaws to promote business. I needed phase one and it offered me a place where I could be safe, get healthy, and build a solid network of other higher phased clients and those in recovery outside of turnbridge. Phase two was an awful experience though. It is coined the step child of the program and is neglected when it should be highly prioritized because it is a very important transition period. I\'m not very picky about food and amenities so I\'ll say they need improvement but won\'t get caught up in that. The actual setup and structure of the later phases, primarily phase two and 2.5, requires some serious revamping. I only got $10 a day to use for necessities and other miscellaneous needs. That\'s less than homeless and it doesn\'t carry over to the next day. The guy in charge of putting any money requests to put on your account is super unreliable. The clinical groups are a joke because the assumption is most of the clients don\'t want to be there so they are run inappropriately and I effectively, essentially wasting money and time for those serious. Phase 2.5 requires you to take the bus or walk to phase two to check out with a staff before going to a meeting and to do your laundry because you don\'t have the means to outsource laundry nor is there a dryer and washer at the complex in 2.5. The staff and higher ups take all of your qualms and throw a phrase like \"this is an opportunity to practice acceptance,\" when in reality, they\'re taking shortcuts and need to fulfill the services I am paying for. Chores are more important than going out with your sober network, and there\'s an incredibly inconvenient and frustrating process for those who are mature and deserving of freedom to actually live a life outside of turnbridge and develop themselves academically or vocationally. I\'m not saying that there are not people at turnbridge who genuinely care, because a lot of staff do. There just is, however, too many inconsistencies and disorganization amongst those in charge that it leads to a neglectful vibe for the client, is brushed off as an opportunity to practice being okay with uncomfortability, and is just too difficult of an environment for one to thrive in even when they are jumping through every hoop, demonstrating that they want to be sober. It\'s a cookie cutter build and mature clients are treated on the same level as the ones who do not want to be at turnbridge. Phase one helped me a lot, the treatment model is very effective for someone who struggles with networking and advocating for oneself, but the rest of the program is structured in a way that it counterbalances ones efforts towards an upward trend of progress, not stagnation.

I do not recommend this facility to anyone other than teens who need to learn how to be an adult. Turnbridge lies not only to patients and parents, but have even blatantly admitted it, saying \"well if we told them how things really work, 95% of the girls wouldn\'t come.\" That seems highly unethical to me. Pros: We went to some decent AA meetings The lower level staff are all amazing The individual therapists are excellent as well as the clinical office staff The APRNs are excellent- However DO NOT be fooled by the admissions people who tell you that you/your children are overseen by a psychiatrist, because they are not. Cons: The upper level staff act in unethical, deceitful, and disrespectful ways. Client concerns were not taken seriously. Parents and clients were discouraged at all costs to communicate, and during \"family meetings\" clients and parents were coached on what to say and the clients were hustled off in about 2 minutes. There was no mediation. I never met either the family therapist or family liaison. The IOP does not have a true DBT program. Due to a lack of staffing, many of the amenities they \"offer\" do not exist. The gym and art room are never open more than an hour or two a week. Several recreational activities were cancelled due to low staff. Their claim of a 2:1 staff ratio is untrue. There are 30 women in the house, average age of 19 and average drug of choice being heroin. There is constant drama and conflict... The case managers and director are far too busy to sit down and talk with you, and do not follow through on requests as they typically forget that you made them. They refused to release my health insurance card info to me without providing a reason other than \"you don\'t need it.\" There was an agreement made between my previous program, my parents, and Turnbridge that my stay would only be for a month, however when I tried to leave I was treated improperly. No one spoke with me about aftercare...They refused any aftercare planning. I grabbed two trash bags of clothes and walked out while staff tried to stop me. When I called BS, my parents called back to verify, another staff member answered and remarked that I HAD left without anyone or any help. It was just absurd, all of it. I understand the need to keep clients from leaving whenever they want with all their money from a liability standpoint. However, they should honor agreements made with clients and their families and make sure the client is safe when they leave, not alone on the streets of New Haven with nothing but a trash bag of clothes. Overall it was a horrible experience, and day to day life was uncomfortable and unproductive to my treatment. PLEASE DON\'T FEED INTO THEIR LIES I say this coming from a background of a Master\'s of mental health, an adult who has lived on their own for a long time, and someone who was looking for a one month stay at a nice facility in order to combat suicidal ideation, not somewhere that would make me MORE depressed. The entire situation was surreal and essentially a 2 million dollar jail.

My 23 year old son is a graduate of Turning Point and 3 years sober. After three different 30 day rehab stays and subsequent relapses we realized it was going to take more for our son to maintain his sobriety. Luckily we were referred to Turning Point. The Turning Point staff mentored and guided our son and gave our family a sense that it could be done and, more importantly, he could do it. The communication was open and honest and there was always easy access to someone when questions arose. The way the program is structured into phases lends itself for slowly raising self esteem which is often so lacking in these young men. The people who work at Turning Point are real life people with real life experiences making a difference to so many young men. The camaraderie at Turning Point is inspiring, my son remains close friends with many of the guys he meet during his year at Turning Point. My son is now helping other people struggling with addiction and we could not be more proud of the person he has become. We owe so much to Turning Point and their vision and insight into how to effectively deal with addiction, they taught our son how to live a sober, productive and happy life while still having fun. We couldn’t ask for more!

We chose Turning Point because their program specifically treats young men only. Many of the other programs we visited claimed to have gender and age specific programing, but on our visits we saw a very diverse age range. Turning Point's focus on actually teaching and guiding our son on how to change simply made sense to us. Ultimately we believe that our son benefited from the individualized treatment both he and we received. This has been an incredibly emotional and stressful time in our lives, and we hope to never have to experience it again, but if we have to, we would call Turning Point. It was a lot more than a drug treatment center it was a life changing experience for both us and our son.

I have been to 5 treatment centers and this was by far the best experience. The quality of the staff and the individual attention I received was far superior than my previous experiences and I believe that is why I am finally sober today. The food and the facilities were amazing too. Not to mention we did some awesome recreational activities while i was there. I left with a group of really close friends who are all still sober and we all hab=ng out together now. Cool place with a great staff and awesome digs!

I finally got sober at Turning Point after several previously failed treatment attempts at 28-days programs. Turning Point afforded me the opportunity to begin moving forward in my life with things like work and school while in a residential program. It's a program specifically for young guys, so I met a lot of cool people, and had a blast with the various recreational events. I would highly recommend Turning Point for any young man looking for help.

This program is giving my loved one the confidence and guided daily support to move forward in a life of sobriety ....we are very grateful. Focuses on young men and their specific needs.extended length of programming very effective. No family counseling available. Needs more emphasis on nutriion and should require alternative therapies..yoga..meditation.etc.

A very positive experience. When I arrived at Turning Point, I was broken and unwilling. The staff all being in recovery, and certainly qualified to help me, were able to get through to me on a different level because of their genuine desire to help, which I was not even aware of at the time. After the continued care and concern from all staff and the community as well, I surrendered and did all the things Turning Point was telling me to do. My experience at Turning Point was life changing, literally. I have a life today worth staying sober for and owe everything to the Turning Point family.

After many years going back and forth to different schools, treatment centers, and detoxes, I came to Turning Point because I saw that there was a music studio on the campus. I quickly found out that Turning Point had much more than that to offer me. During my stay at Turning Point, the staff was able to see me fall and help me get back up again. Looking back on my stay, I realized it was about much more than putting down the drugs. I was able to acquire the skills to live a successful life with the guidance of some of the best people I know. I can genuinely say that Turning Point did not save my life, but gave me the opportunity to save my own. I have been sober ever since, and my relationships with my family and friends have been better than they ever were before. I will always consider Turning Point my second home and the staff there my family.

Turning Point ending up being where I got sober after several unsuccessful treatment attempts. It's an approach that just makes sense. In the past I would go directly from a 30-day program to home or a sober house, always picking up drugs a few short weeks later. At Turning Point, I had the opportunity to gradually begin the process of finding work, re-enrolling in college classes, etc. while continuing to work closely with my counselors. It was also the first place I've ever been that was specifically for young men. I learned the value of physical exercise and the importance of having sober friends. I am incredibly grateful for the experience I had at Turning Point.
