“This place saved my life” You will read these words over and over when searching the reviews of The Dunes. If I knew rehab could be so comfortable, informative, holistic and fun ( yes that was fun) but most of all so effective If you are feeling like it’s time for you to make this step and have the resources The Dunes is worth every penny of what you will spend. The councillors and therapist are all recovering themselves and really grasped where I was coming from and where I wanted/needed to go...... This is not a dry out facilty but a place to go and hit your reset button in preparation for a sober life on the outside. Good luck and remember you get out of it what you put in it

Ritz Carlton meets Recovery The secret is in the numbers. The number of residents at one time is so low, and the number of staff to residents is so high, that the intensity of the experience is riveting. The full immersion into the next chapter was indelible. The program, the people, the facility. These people saved my life, these people changed my life. I’m eternally grateful.

The Dunes East Hampton Drug and Alcohol rehab is a great facility for those looking for privacy, excellent treatment, and the luxuries of a five-star hotel. I had to attend 3x times and it was not that the facility did not treat me and teach me how to live a good sober life. recommended therapy in NYC no longer took my bull**** it did not fly anymore. After my 5 suicide attempts after losing hope that, nothing will work; I was destine to die and could not live up to society standards which I did not fit. I now have been sober for three years.

The Dunes was my first sister's first visit to rehab and hopefully her last. The staff was compassionate and treated us like family from the moment we walked in. The director of admissions made us feel at home and guided us through the whole process. The luxury was 5 star and the holistic wellness options added a whole new dimension to her recovery.

Very Good
This place is beautiful and very relaxing, but the treatment is not effective. There was absolutely no follow-up phone call or contact once I left the facility. They do not take insurance and fees must be paid up front. If your insurance reimburses you, their insurance advocates process claims so funds are sent to The Dunes where they take 10% insurance processing fees from your reimbursement. I would not recommend this rehab unless you have an excess of wealth and won't miss the $50,000 monthly fee. Good Luck in your recovery to anyone reading this, there are more affordable and more effective rehabs available to those serious looking for help and not a country club atmosphere.

I have my brother back! After going to 3 other rehabs, we finally sent him to The Dunes. the staff was so caring. Our family counseling session was life-changing for us all. Now we are all participating in his on going recovery and I am able to enjoy my brother as I have always known and loved him.

Compassionate and educated staff. Variety of treatment paths. Non institutional. The individual attention as well as group experience's proved extremely valuable to my self discovery. The staff was extremely accommodating to my special needs and requests.

Strengths: Effectiveness, compassion, comfort, variety of treatment options, individualized attention . A weakness was that there was no sober living available yet I would never had gone into treatment if I had not found The Dunes. The idea of a large institution with possible punitive treatment would have kept me from getting the help I needed.

This is such a caring and thoughtful center, from the housekeeper to the director everyone is lovely!! This is for people who really want to get better, so it is wasted on those who have not gotten to that point in their addiction.

The care at The Dunes is outstanding. In spite of my numerous struggles the staff never gave up on me. The small size, no more than 11 residents, made me feel very safe and comfortable. The rooms, food and other amenities are second to none. Most importantly, I am committed to my sobriety and am living a happy fulfilled life, thanks to The Dunes. -DN

...Most staff running day to day operations are simply people in recovery . There are perhaps three licensed social workers. When I asked for the staff\'s credentials , I was criticized. The jacuzzi does not work. Two clients left early and stopped payment on their charge cards. I found marketing to be highly aggressive and not completely candid. I left fifty thousand dollars poorer and in worse shape than when I arrived . They claim to use evidence based treatment but their outcomes anecdotally

This place is the most poorly run place I have ever experienced -they lie about staff to client ratio, meds, capacity.....I can\'t go on - there\'s too much. You don\'t get what you pay for. Go somewhere else!

I cannot express enough how wonderful my experience at The Dunes was. The level of care, professionalism and treatment are, without a doubt in my mind, the only reason I am still sober almost 3 years later. From my very first day of treatment I was made to feel like everything was going to be ok and that I was in good hands. I learned the areas in addition to my addictions that needed to be addressed and the tools I needed to face everyday life as a recovering addict. I have soo much gratitude for my life today and had I not entered treatment here, none of it would have been possible. There really is something magical about this treatment center. If you are reading this and struggling, do yourself a favor and check it out.

We are sorry that you had such a terrible experience. Most clients who are willing to come with an open mind and immerse themselves in our program find that their time at The Dunes was positive. Many believe it has changed their lives and have had positive outcomes. I encourage you to reach out to us.

Great programs , nutritious food, comfortable, safe and qualified staff. Client service is not up to scratch time management. you don't receive a respond quickly from them. It is a very good facility. They offer great programs for families too. It is safe and private. They take good care of the patients. My uncle was helped! Great accommodations. Beautiful accommodations and serene setting. However, it was expensive. There was an opportunity for patients to work with horses, which helped immensely.

Comprehensive evaluation and treatment across expressions of addiction and co-occurring problems. This is a first rate program with a progressive treatment strategy based on scientific evidence. However, they have not yet conducted long term outcome evaluation to determine treatment effectiveness.

This is an unfortunate and inaccurate statement. All of our clinicians are either masters level or Ph.D. level and licensed by New York State. Anyone can readily be shown our staff's credentials.
