Dr. Walter Brooks is the founding President and CEO of Tangu, founded in Atlanta, GA in 1993. Dr. Brooks holds a PhD in Professional Counseling and Psychology and is a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), among many professional credentials. Dr. Brooks has over 25 years experience working with persons suffering from addictive and mental health disorders. Mindy Mccarty is the Clinical Director at Tangu Recovery, and Cobb County DUI court. Mrs. Mccarty graduated with her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in December 2017, and is in the process of pursuing licensure to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Mrs. McCarty is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CDAC II), and has been working in the field since 2015. She is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Argosy University for Counseling Education and Supervision. Mrs. McCarty has been in recovery for over 9 years. Her passion is working with substance abuse and trauma clientele. She has been trained in several trauma curriculums such as; EMDR, Seeking Safety, and TREM.More
