I would have liked my counselor to be more available and after I left the facility I could no longer see the therapist I was seeing and I couldn't afford another therapist so I had no one to go to after I left the facility.

I really learned a lot about myself. I didn't get clean until this year (February7,2014). But that's when I finally realized that everything I had learned about addiction and me I was finally able to apply. It helped but I wasn't ready to let go of the pain of my past. I didn't know that I could. I came from a lot of mental, physical and sexual abuse as a child. I didn't know how to move past it. I finally have. They were very compassionate and interested in me. I'm gay and wanted to be in one that catered to the gay community.
