Testimonials

  • "Where to begin...this has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I never imagined that I would form such strong bonds with my fellow residents, as well as the staff. I cannot express my gratitude enough for being welcomed and make so comfortable here. My treatment made me take a very hard look at myself and I discovered things about myself that years of therapy didn’t uncover. My biggest success here is leaving knowing how much help I need form others to stay sober. Without that awareness, my odds would be very low. Thanks to you all for giving me the tools to go back into the world with a fighting chance."
  • "Most people are rushed to the hospital due to physical injury, however, I checked into Reflections on a spiritual stretcher. I came in with a broken life, and a shattered soul. I was greeted with kindness and understanding so pure and unlike any other place. As the people that surrounded me showed me the way to pick up the pieces that I thought were meant to be left on the floor. Be it a kind word, a vibrant smile, or even a well-placed saying! Slowly and steadily I started to heal, and it was a beautiful and difficult path. Everything started to come together and my soul became united once again. I left feeling ready to fly. So thank you all, you saved me in ways I can’t even explain." "Thank you for the gift of life."
  • "Thank you all so very much. Your kindness, your support, and your love has meant the world to me. Each of you in your own way have given me hope, when I was so hopeless. I am such a different person that I was when I walked in, and for that I am truly grateful. Thank you for saving my life...even when I didn’t want to. Love to you all!
  • It is sometimes difficult to take a hard look at yourself in relation to what’s troubling you, and come to the realization that you are your own worst enemy. I am extremely grateful to all at Reflections for their caring insight, support and advice. This includes all members of the staff, as well as fellow residents. The experience is life changing
  • This place became home for me. All the staff and clients helped me through the tough times. The advice given has changed my life. At times people upset me but I learned that is life. I will miss everyone so much and I can’t wait to come back and share my recovery with new residents." "Thanks for giving me a chance to get my life back. With great love,"
  • "Reflections turned out to be the perfect storm of environmental conditions, world class therapy, and individualized custom approaches that facilitated the personal transformation I so needed. As I immersed myself in the program, I could not help but believe I was part of a totally unique treatment model that stands alone in its field." "Every element of Reflections has been tailored to generate positive change. I came to treatment to get sober, and my expectations were eclipsed as I walked away feeling empowered and genuinely inspired. Reflections is the most innovative program that I have encountered, and I am honored to have had the privilege to benefit from their passionate team of experts."
  • "I am extremely grateful for my experience at Reflections. I chose Reflections because I had been to a fine rehab before, but I needed a place not to just get sober but to have a psychic change. I found that at Reflections. Reflections let me keep my dignity while healing. Because they only have six people at a time I received a lot of personal attention from the very qualified staff, and the group experience was invaluable. All the staff is exceptional from the clinical staff to the housekeeper. They are all so compassionate and accommodating. I felt they all genuinely were invested in my well being and sobriety, and continue so upon my reentry into my real world with all it's triggers. The accommodations are akin to a five star resort. I can not say enough about the chef Brenda. She is awesome and cooks with love. I also especially enjoyed Adventure Bob" who took us on outings in beautiful Marin County." "It was a truly healing experience for me."
  • "As someone who has experienced several treatment facilities, Reflections is unique in many ways. While the private room, food, and attentive and caring staff provide for a special experiences, it is the power of a small group of individuals with a common goal who are willing to share their hopes and fears that I will most memorable. Coming to Reflections is of course about sobriety, but it is also learning how to find one's place in the world and facing the challenges that hold us back in this endeavor...A unique and rewarding experience. Thanks for everything."
  • "My time at Reflections was a bitter sweet experience. Bitter in that of course I was going through one of the worse times of my life and sweet in that I ended up having one of the most positively wonderful experiences of my life as well. I never thought I would miss a residential program but I do. Reflections was my first and I'm very hopeful my last. They truly want to see you succeed and will do everything in their power to help you and that is the truth. As well as their amazing staff the house is beautiful and with a small occupancy they are better equipped to meet your needs from special workouts, massages, shopping really just about anything."
  • "I am truly grateful for my time at Reflections. The staff and family became a second family to me. I don't think I could have gone to a better program. You guys are seriously the BEST!I love it here and I honestly do not want to leave. You will definitely be seeing me again.. as a visitor that is! Again I am grateful for the tools and knowledge that you all have given me."
  • There are two disclaimers I'd like to make before writing my online review of Reflections: 1. I passionately identify as the kind of person that never writes online reviews. 2. This exception to the above rule is being made under the condition that I wholeheartedly believe that my stay at Reflections changed my life forever, if not saved it entirely. The counseling and clinical team at Reflections are exemplary, outstanding individuals whom I will never forget in all my life. In the three months I spent as a resident there, not for one moment did I ever feel like more or less than simply a human being treated with respect, love, dignity, counsel, authenticity. As a 21 year old having flown from Michigan, I feel it's just as important that I was never coddled to a fault. I was held to a standard that I was always capable of achieving, despite times of self-doubt, and through being held to that standard, they helped cultivate the self-esteem I needed to be where I stand today. There are so many important elements to Reflections that make it what it is. The extremely talented Executive Chef, the sweet and meticulous housekeeping, the personable night-staff, the mindfully planned scheduling, the gorgeous hikes and outings, the attentive medical staff... I sincerely could go on forever. It was beyond what I expected when I boarded a plane to San Francisco that one fateful morning. But, if you take anything from my review, I must insist it be this: If you are where I was just four months ago...make the call. Forgive my cliché - it was the most important, life changing phone call of my life thus far. And when you do, you'll be amazed before you even set foot on the property, when you're put through to Louise, the Executive Director, who sincerely wants to speak to YOU, find out who YOU are. You can expect the same authenticity from her staff and clinical team at Reflections. You will be amazed at what kind of effort this place puts in to the 'you' you've always wanted to be. I know I am. I'm proud to be a former resident of a residential rehabilitation center that exemplifies what the field of psychology is intended for. My experience then and now is a withstanding testament to a gold-standard of care. I love those people and I love my life.
  • I came to reflections for its small size and it's focus on individualized care. A lot of places I have been to say that they offer individualized care and this was the most practical place for me because there is only six clients. I was able to receive the attention I needed in order to work through the underlying issues that drove me to use substances. I was extremely happy with the care and support I received. It took me a few other rehabs to get there, and what stood out to me almost instantly was how passionate the staff were about what they were doing. The therapy was extensive (which was the kind of structure I needed), and it far exceeded my expectations. Reflections offered me an environment where I could recover physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. They were very accommodating to my needs and made changes to my schedule that helped me best utilize my time there. I am now in a place in my life where I have the tools necessary to respond to life in a way that is conducive to my sobriety, my long term goals, and is in line with my values.
  • Reflections staff is extremely compassionate and goes above and beyond to help their clients and be supportive of client's family. Everyone their is professional, kind, understanding and exemplifies what it means to care and help someone. I am so beyond grateful for everything they have done for me and my family and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of help.
  • Reflections Detox Facility is by far the best detox facility. I refer people to Reflections based on my own experience as a client. The staff credentials coupled with their unique individualized treatment is the most effective in the detoxification industry. I arrived at Reflections Detox after a horrible rock bottom 2 week relapse. I am a poly-substance drug abuser that arrived half-dead. The five star staff assisted me in getting back on my feet medically. The rest was up to me. I recommend Reflections to anyone suffering from addiction.

I recently completed Reflections Extended Care Program which was a live changing experience. They provided me an incredibly high level of care during a very trying time in my life. Reflections has a safe, supportive and caring environment that allowed me to look deep inside myself and do the work necessary to get well. The educational aspect of the program was thorough and diverse. The accommodations are peaceful and serene. It is obvious that Reflections has worked very hard to create this environment. I am forever grateful for my time spent at Reflections and all the tools and skills they helped me develop.

I cannot say enough good about Reflections and their staff. Our son had been in a number of the top rehabs in the Bay Area prior to going to Reflections and never did he receive the individual attention, care, and concern that he did from the Reflections' team. Everyone we worked with on the team was experienced, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Both Drs went above & beyond again and again as they helped our son maneuver through some extremely challenging times in his life. They was caring, helpful and insightful in our parent weekly phone conferences. The Dr. did all in their power to help our son get to the next best place when he was leaving Reflections. We had group calls with them and other therapists. I do believe that they truly cared about our son's wellbeing and recovery. They took him in at a very desperate time in his life and gave him excellent therapy & a foundation from which he could begin a new and better life. We’re very grateful to the Reflections’ team for giving our son this chance for a new start in life. I don’t think you can find a better place to help your loved one recover.

I am eternally grateful to the amazing staff at Reflections. Although my time in inpatient treatment was rather short, it was intensive and amazing and changed the course of my life. I originally got sober using the 12 steps, and thought I knew everything there was to know about recovery... until a devastating relapse which left me hopeless, and led me to Reflections. The therapists there taught me so much about the scientific nature of the problem and the solution, self acceptance, and how to move forward and start to believe in myself again. I draw upon the tools I learned there every single day. As an added perk I also made some wonderful friends who I\'m still in touch with. The accommodations are top-notch in every single way.

Reflections helped me start a new path in life - one that I really did not believe was possible or could have even imagined. I got sober March 4, 2013, the day I checked in to Reflections. When I started, I did not believe I really had a problem. I just knew I was completely miserable and my life was falling apart - I was out of work, drinking and drugging all day every day, separated from my wife and on the road to divorce, physically and mentally a complete mess. Worst of all, the drugs and alcohol were not soothing me anymore. Still, I thought the world was the problem and alcohol and drugs were my deserved and necessary medicine. I checked in to Reflections thinking I\'d just dry out for a month and then I could drink and use like a normal person. The incredible staff at Reflections helped me begin to open up to the reality of my life as an alcoholic and drug addict. And they helped me see that I did not ever have to drink or use drugs again if I committed myself to a program of recovery based on the daily and vigilant act of living a different way. They diagnosed my mental health issues, fed me well, counseled me, gave me healthy things to do, introduced me to new people who were going through exactly what I was going through. They gave me a chance to begin to heal. They got me connected w/ a world-renowned psychiatrist who helped figure out what was going on in my head and led me through a neural feedback program. They introduced me to outside programs of recovery. Most importantly, they helped me develop a program of action for when I checked out. I am still living that program. So today, I am still sober. And as a result, my wife and I are back together, we have a young daughter, I have more work than I know what to do with, and I have - for the first time in my adult life - real faith in the knowledge that I never have to drink or use drugs again and that there\'s nothing life can throw at me that drugs or alcohol can\'t make a lot worse. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor - check your butt into Reflections. And then when you\'re getting ready to check out, make sure you\'ve got a rock-solid program of recovery through action that you stick to. You never have to drink or do drugs again.

I was in rehab at this facility three times. It was the third time when I finally followed the staff\'s directions and advice that got me on the path to recovery. Each time I was treated with compassion and was given excellent medical and psychological treatment and advice.
