Cathy attributes her clinical success in being able to integrate her experiences, knowledge of education and mental health issues to help her clients problem-solve, overcome personal issues, and work toward positive life experiences. Her approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Cathy is a trained in and utilizes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Brief-Solution Focused Therapy and Crisis Intervention in practice. She continuously seeks ongoing training and development to her skills and knowledge base. In her role as Clinical Director for MAT, Cathy strives to promote a clinical environment and a program that provides individuals with the tools and the coping skills that are needed to improve emotional wellness and to transition from a life of addiction to a future of stability and hope.
