Meet The Staff

Mike Mills, MFT Student
Therapist

"I have seen and experienced for myself the deep impact and effects of the wilderness. I believe there is no better way to learn about yourself and your own capabilities than to be surrounded by nature without the distractions of modern conveniences. I have over 15 years of experience in being a soldier in the Utah Army National Guard. Even after facing the enemies of our country in Iraq, I believe the greatest enemy for any individual is themselves, and each one of us are combating our fears, anxieties, anger, sadness, ambivalence and addictions. I believe that each one of us have the capacity to do great things and be great people if only we can be victorious in our battles with our own internal enemies. Through my experiences I have come to understand how important it is to be a part of a team that functions well. I look towards the treatment team for support and strength knowing I am only a part of the potential power of this program. I feel extremely honored to be part of a program and team that is so effective and efficient in showing young men their potential and guiding them to better, more productive, and independent lives."
