Meet The Staff

Dr. Jeffery Young, M.D.
Medical Director

Jeff Young, MD, is the medical director at the Springbrook campus in Newberg. Dr. Young received his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University and is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. His clinical work throughout his career has included working with patients and healthcare professionals who have psychiatric and substance use issues. Previously, he was the medical director for the Providence Health and Services, Behavioral Health Program, Oregon Region.

Heidi Wallace, MA, LPC, NCC, MAC
Director of Clinical Services

Heidi Wallace, MA, LPC, NCC, MAC, is a master addictions counselor who specializes in the treatment of individuals with chronic and severe addiction as well as other mental health disorders. She currently works on Hazelden's Springbrook campus as the clinical director, where she has been for seven years. She earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Montana and her master's degree in counseling psychology, with an emphasis on addictions, at Lewis and Clark College. She has worked in both residential and outpatient treatment settings as well as private practice over the past 17 years. She is co-author of an addiction textbook in which she wrote about the fundamentals of Motivational Interviewing.
