Connie was aware from an early age that counseling, specifically substance abuse counseling, was the field for her. In high school she became involved with the NCADA as a peer counselor, and became involved with prevention with her peers. She attended college at Saint Louis University with a BS in psychology, and then Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville for a MA in Clinical Adult Psychology.More
Personal traits and the fact that she enjoys being a support to others drew her to this field. She recalls growing up wanting to be a teacher, and eventually went into teaching with her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Illinois State University. From there she went directly into graduate school and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy/Counseling. She is currently a Registered Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois.More
