This place is a joke. They will blatantly lie on you and to courts to cover their own inequities and abuses. Then simply stone wall you They told the courts I had not been seen or called the facility in an attempt to cover up the fact that one of their newbie counselors quit as she refused to lie and wanted no part of their non existent ethics. They employ a counselor who is downright abusive and power hungry and sexually inappropriate. When I beat them in court they attempted to blacklist me and was even told by a local storage shed I couldn't because it was a conflict of interest with Asac. I didn't know they were in the storage business except for warehousing humans for profit. Well I had copies of the insurance forms I signed, plus the request to turn over my food stamp card and my pin so I could eat and the woman's business card I met with so the lie on there behalf was outed. They were chastised by the courts in there absence for the poor quality, lack of care and audacity when they didn't even show to court. Cowards. I saved myself, they didn't save me. They destroy lives for monetary gain and control of what little assets you may have. And when the counselors are verbally abusive and sexist and are no more sober than the man in the moon. Recovery starts with honesty, these people don't know the meaning of the word. Steer clear! It's a fine oiled racket making money from others mysery! I beat you and was vocal. Courts apologized for the unprofessional actions, dishonesty and complete waste of my and the courts time. All actions were dismissed and vacated.

ASAC literally saved my life due to alcohol abuse. The staff is caring about your recovery. If you truly want a sober/clean new beginning ASAC is the place to be. They give you the tools needed for a new, better life. In my opinion, the negative reviews towards ASAC are from those who weren't ready to take on sobriety, refused to apply the tools given to them, or were disrespectful to staff and peers. I've been in other residential rehabs and ASAC is hands down the best. Definitely recommend them, if you're ready to do the work and LISTEN.

It was effective at the time. It was local, affordable, and not a lockup. It seemed like a government take on rehab.

has many locations and different a/a facilitys not very individual. it seems like its more about money than it is fixing folks. overall a good program but staff could be more understanding and more individualized.

They offer therapy by creating a therapeutic hobby which keeps the person occupied to keep their minds off of substance/alcohol usage. The residents are not locked in. They can leave if they choose. Make it so they cannot leave the facility until successful treatment has been achieved.
