Testimonials

  • A Forever Recovery & MRT has helped get me back to the person I used to be more in tune with my inner self. I have also learned to not stress over things I cannot control, which was a huge problem for me. And to let go of the past, it only holds me back. I’m glad my family found this for me and proud and thankful. I put forth the effort to get the most out of the program.
  • A Forever Recovery has done what I thought would never be possible. I grieve over my miscarriage and abandonment issues. I know how to properly handle my emotions and anger. I have grown so much as a woman. I was so lost, now I have a definite sense of direction. I have goals that I will complete. I feel independent and learned how to establish boundaries with my family. I’ve made better friends here than I have at home. Everyone likes me for me and vice versa. Everything feels so new but it’s exciting. I know that I will do great things with the most of my life and I couldn’t have done it without the help from everyone I went here with at AFR. This place changed my life and I am so grateful. Thank you & stay beautiful.
  • A Forever Recovery] The Program helped me open up when it comes to my emotions. It helped me realize the underlying reasons for my drug use. The MRT program helped my walk through my life in baby steps so I was not overwhelmed. The self-inventory helps you to come to what you need to do in order to heal. Besides being told what I need to fix, A Forever Recovery helped me come to find that I don’t need drugs to live a happy life.
  • A Forever Recovery has given me a second chance at an honest, trustworthy and hardworking life. They transformed me into the person I know I could be. They’re positive, motivated and determined to help everyone that walks the doors. They break the old you down and rebuild you into a masterpiece. Every aspect of this program focuses on bettering ourselves, from MRT to small groups, to the chores they make you do. It’s all for a reason and pushing you towards the bigger picture.
  • A Forever Recovery has helped me in many ways. The staff and other patients have helped me and welcomed me. When I came here I thought my only problem was my drug addiction but I found out I had a lot of underlying issue which may have triggered drug use. I learned a lot about my inner self and that I must love myself before I can love anyone else. I learned to think positive and the difference between accepting and suppressing your emotions.
  • A Forever Recovery hasn’t given me my life back it has given me a new life. It has made me a new man with a completely new outlook on life and sense of meaning in my life. I can’t thank this program enough for letting me become the man I always knew I was but wouldn’t get to on my own. I am truly blessed.
  • Before coming to A Forever Recovery (AFR), I was a lost girl, simply going through life with no sense of direction. I was living a lonely life and isolating myself from the ones who truly love me. In fact, I didn’t even love myself. A Forever Recovery taught me how to become a strong and independent woman. I learned how to love myself again and embrace life with open arms. I realize now I wasn’t enjoying life during my addiction, just going through the motions. The MRT program is truly a life changing experience. Each step has opened my eyes to my destructive behaviors and dangerous lifestyle, I will forever be grateful for having the opportunity for coming AFR.
  • A Forever Recovery has helped me in so many ways to find myself again. I used to think I needed external sources to make me happy or motivated but you all have shown me I can have everything I need from within. The MRT program is fantastic in so many ways. We used to just ponder if life had a set group of guidelines for us and this program has done that and more. The book is just a book if you choose to view if that way, but to me that book is priceless. The book can provide a pathway into your heart and mind that allow you to be successful in whatever you choose to apply it to. It brings clarity to your life, past and present, allowing you to evaluate, assess and apply what you need to change. Listening and being aware of your inner self is the best tool I have learned how to use here. I was lost without it but now I am truly found and I have this program to thank. You all have helped me identify what I need to do so I do not become complacent. You’ve shown me that I need an action plan to achieve any goal I want to obtain. Also you have all shown me that I need not to slack off in my recovery for it is a lion waiting to strike the moment I let my guard down. I now see the importance of taking on my addiction by the horns everyday by going to meetings and just asking for help in general even if I don’t think I need it. I look forward to the calls I will receive from Aftercare as well as the feed back from my life, my heart without coming here and obtaining these life skills. I don’t believe I could project myself past the truth of being anchored by an addiction. You all have changed my life and I love all of you for this amazing experience. Sincerely, Alexander
  • A Forever recovery has changed my life completely. I came in unsure of myself-no confidence or drive to do anything. MRT was intimidating at first, but I adjusted to it. The steps were very challenging but I learned so much. I learned that there are underlying issues as to why I became addicted in the first place. MRT pushed me to find the “real me”- my inner self. I realized I don’t need to hide my feelings and past traumas, that people here have similar pasts so I have nothing to be ashamed of. Most important is sobriety. For the first time in my life (well10+ years) I can be me, without substances. I can handle things and emotions without covering it up every day. I’m very thankful for this program!
  • AFR has helped me in every aspect of my life to find the real me that has been missing for so long. The MRT program has taught me so much about my inner-self & about the core drivers of my addiction. One of the biggest impacts that AFR has taught me is that I am not an addict! Being an addict is just a label that I and society has put on myself because I used drugs to cope with life. I no longer consider myself an addict, but a good person with a hard past. A past that I have learned from to not only improve myself, but also to help other people who many struggle with thinking problems like I do.
  • A Forever Recovery (AFR) has been revolutionary for my recovery, as I had only been utilizing AA in my past. AFR and the MRT methods have opened my eyes to a much broader mindset that helps me to address the underlying issues that always led me back to relapse. I now understand and believe that my struggles w/alcohol were simply masked for several underlying issues. Namely, my anxiety and obsessive worrying cooped together w/poor and unhealthy management techniques have been challenged for me for many years. AFR has helped me to understand this matrix of factors and has equipped me with the tools to truly achieve and flourish in recovery. I really enjoy MRT’s methodology and holistic approach to recovery. By exploring and evaluating my internal thought processes, I have learned a great deal about myself. The self-inventory was a tough process to undertake at times, but I found out many things about myself. My struggle with anxiety and stress has lead to many problems in my life. However, MRT has provided several techniques that can be utilized to proactively address problems before they create major problems (e.g. relapse, damaged relationships, diminished trust, etc.) in my life. Ultimately, MRT and Self-Inventory have helped me to establish a solid foundation for my recovery. I am really looking forward to implementing everything that I have learned into my life and to continuing down the path of recovery.

My experience with the treatment I received at A Forever Recovery was that it was excellent. The different programs they have, the way the staff help you through everything was exactly what I needed. The staff were understanding and kind and yet they were relentless in making sure I understood everything and could apply whatever it was I just learned before allowing me to move on. They really made sure that I could go home and stay sober.

During my daughter's program she became a stronger, smarter person. She became more understanding of others and honestly, she became a nicer person. During her program she learned a lot about herself and what she needed to do in order to stay sober.

To the people only giving AFR one star and saying detox was cramped and the rooms were terrible. Are you only saying that because they said it? Did they finish out and graduate? Did they relapse? I LOVED AFR. It was NOT easy. Its not supposed to be a cupcake camp. And the detox house is amazing. Massages and a hot tub. You can sleep when you want. AFR taught me sooooo much. I use EVERYTHING today. And guess what? I had relapsed when i came home. Does that mean that the treatment wasnt effective? Absolutely not. I wasnt ready. I graduated jan 16 2015. Went to jail march 4 2015. And every bit of what i learned here came rushing back. I use it now. And am proud to say with all that knowledge and actually using it i will have four YEARS clean on march 4 2019.

Finally found a center that worked for our son and as a family we could not be happier. From the beginning of speaking to someone over the phone to getting him on a plane to the center and being in the staffs care, we were highly impressed with the ease and guidance we received along the way. We were able to get him in right away and we found that they really cared about our loved one as if they were one of their own. Our son had reservations about going, because it was something he had unfortunately been through before and he did not think anything was going to wok because he had lost all hope that there was any hope left for him. He found when he got there that it was run unlike any other center that he had attended before. The staff was encouraging along the way and went out of their way to be patient with him and work with him on a personal level everyday. It was only a short period of time that they began to see progress with him and noticed him opening up about things that he never had before in his past because he did not know how to open up and share those feelings with others. He was able to get help and receive guidance for a wide variety of things because they were trying to target the root of the problem. He needed to find stability in his life to know and learn how not to fall back into the same vindictive patterns that he always found himself in after leaving a center. He needed to rebuild life skills and he needed to understand the triggers of his use so that if he found himself in those types of situations again he would be able to sustain and walk away from temptation before it becoming a problem again. When having been through so many programs that had failed you in the past it really made it that much harder for him to find confidence within himself to be able to give it everything he had once again and put the tools to use. He slowly found himself having a new sense of self confidence because he felt as though he was actually retaining the information that was being given to him because it was something he could understand and it was of interest to him. He feels a new sense of hope after completing the program here and it really was geared towards the things in his life that he needed individualized one on one help with. We could not be more happy as a family for him to see him on the path to recovery.

My life was out of control and getting to the point where it was becoming unmanageable. As much as I would like to sit here today and say that my life was not spiraling out of control and no one around me could notice or see that it was I can not say that. I pretended that I was living a normal life and I was trying to be blind to the fact that others were not noticing when in fact they were and I knew it. I was just to ashamed to admit it. I did not want my failures to become the burdens of others. As my tolerance to my substances grew my symptoms seemed to be coming on stronger and faster and before i knew it my addiction had seemed to get so out of control that I myself was finding it hard to manage and keep up with. I was losing all sense of responsibility and motivation to keep up with my family and I was shutting out everything and everyone, including not showing up to work on some days because I just had no desire to get out of bed. On this inside I could feel that I was falling apart and on the outside it was becoming difficult to hide as well as you could see the effects that it was having on my appearance as well. Apart from all things going on in my life I finally reached out to my family for help and asked for their support while admitting that I needed rehab. It was by far one of the best decisions that i have ever made and I learned and gained so much valuable insight to my addiction that I really feel as though I understand why I was subjecting myself to the lifestyle that I had for so long. I mended my issues with family, friends and colleagues and it was by far one of the most difficult steps of treatment for me, but it was also the most freeing. When I had went to those that I had done wrong and spoke about my actions and sought out forgiveness from these individuals I felt liberated. A huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I could start to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

All approaches to drug and alcohol addiction are completely different and this center really understands that. They understand that not everyone is struggling with the same issues as the person sitting next to them in treatment and with knowing that comes a more diverse and well rounded center for those that are attending so that the care they provide is unlike any other out there. In order for someone to get to the point of sobriety they have to fully understand and have clarity on what their underlying issues are as an individual and know what areas to work on as a whole in order for the process to work. Some things that may factor into the difference of a program for an individual circumstances are their religious beliefs, substance that they are using and current lifestyle that they may have. This center truly understands that we all need individualized counseling and guidance on a personal level and not just in a group setting as we all do not relate to what one another is going through. Everything is tailored to fit the specific needs of what is going on in the lives of one another around them and we are gt the one on one help we are needing to get to the level of understanding that we need in order to be successful here. I worked personally with my counselor on a one on one basis and I also was actively involved with my group sessions as it opened up my eyes to things that others were dealing with around me to help me with my own [personal issues as well. All in all this center helped me to get my life back and I am going to be forever grateful.

Do NOT believe these 4-5 star reviews!!! This place is a 1 Star max, and that's if you attend during summer. I was there mid-winter and it was HELL. Any positive reviews are LIES! So I'm here with the truth... I went to AFR in Battle Creek MI in Feb 2014, and it was the worst rehab I've ever been to. The detox happened in a crappy log cabin house with bunk beds. Like 8+ per room. After the week long detox, was when the real horrible program began. The facility is terrible, the rooms are like motel rooms. And general facility is very similar to the women's prison I've been to. I was sent to a nearby hospital (didn't take my insurance, left with a $3000 bill for 2 hours, and then was forced out into the streets. Transportation to and from Detroit airport takes ~3 hours each way, and cost $300+ via any transportation service around. Horrible in every way.

I am a former client of A Forever Recovery and after gaining some positive clean time and education, I am now an employee. As a patient, the program was the best I've ever come across. I loved the idea of an AA/NA alternative, as I had tried this approach before and had been unsuccessful. The core MRT program really addressed my behavior and changed my decision making methods. I enjoyed the SMART recovery and Holistic tracks the most during my stay. My counselor was fantastic and helped guide me to become the woman I am today. I have almost 5 years clean and sober and I owe it all to AFR. As a staff member I can genuinely state we really care about the clients. Quite a few staff member are also in recovery and can relate to the client's on an in-depth level. Keeping the family in the loop is one of my main goals as a case manager. Although our detox facility is separate from our main facility, it houses some of the most caring people from medical to support staff. Thank you AFR for all the help you've given me and all the help you continue to give to current and future clients!

A forever recovery is located in Michigan, next to saint marys lake, amazing. I just loved the view it's breathtaking. Just the environment itself makes you want to stay there, and it makes you feel better. Upon my arrival I saw that I made the right choice in choosing a forever recovery. I was not very into going again to an other rehab, I have been to 3 so I am kinda over rehabs, none of them really made me feel like that was it, but at afr already when I arrived I felt better than the other 3, so i was hoping this will be it, and for now they keep up to that. Very caring compassionate staff. Great groups & counseling. The food was great too, I not picky either. Afr genuinely cares about each & every client. The program is catered to the individual needs of the clients, this is a huge plus. They have a personalized treatment plan to help achieve success and a long-term recovery. Clients learn how to be healthy physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually. We were encouraged to push ourself to full potential. I would really recommend afr to everyone. I think i feel mor stable than after any of the other rehabs, and I am not planning in redoing an other treatment, I feel that afr did the job!

Rehab can feel like an intimidating and overwhelming place to be, but A Forever Recovery is nothing like that! It all starts with the facility itself. As it sits overlooking a private lake, it immediately puts you at peace. Coupled with the warm earth tones inside the building, you would not know this is a rehab facility which makes recovery much easier. The staff at A Forever Recovery are truly the best! They are very caring and have your best interest and treatment in mind. They tailor-make the program to suit your needs and truly wish to see you recover from addiction. Their treatment programs cannot be matched! From their unbelievable detox program, together with a nutrition and vitamin plan, to 12-step programs, and even yoga, art, and music therapies! It is hard to imagine this is a rehab facility with all of the great amenities to help you overcome an addiction. You will not find a better center than right here at A Forever Recovery!

I had such a great experience at A Forever Recovery. It was unlike any rehab center I’ve ever been to before. It was just so much better there. For starters, the building is really nice. It’s clean, warm and inviting. It bears absolutely no resemblance to a hospital or institution. It was designed for comfort and it’s the only rehab I’ve been to where I felt comfortable and was able to relax. Now, detox no matter how you look at it is going to be dreadful. At least for me it always has been. In general, I’m not much of a drama queen unless it has to do with detoxing and then all bets all off and I become a crazy person. I’m miserable before it even starts and I build it up so much in my head that nothing really makes it better. My experience going through detox at AFR while still not great was much more bearable. It still wasn’t fun by any stretch of the imagination but it was much easier to get through. The medical personnel and the detox staff were great with me. They constantly checked on me to make sure I was alright. The understood what I was going through and knew how to help me get through it. When I did finish detox and was starting my program I sat down with my counselor to go over the different treatment options they have there. I’ve done enough 12-step programs to know that it wasn’t what I needed. There isn’t one addiction treatment that works for everyone and they understand that at AFR. What works for one person might not work for someone else and so they help you find the treatment that will work for you and tailor it to your needs. I ended up doing SMART recovery and that worked for me. I was able to completely understand my addiction for the first time ever. What motivated me to start using and why I had so much trouble getting and staying off drugs. There is something so special about the staff at AFR. They understand addiction and are beyond dedicated to helping every client that comes there. One thing they focused on there was communication. It doesn’t seem like such a big thing but really so many of my fights with my parents could’ve been avoided if we had just talked through it. So I learned how to talk with people better and get my point across without a talk devolving into a screaming match. I learned what kind of my behavior led me to use and how to staff away from those things and the people that made it easier for me to relapse. I’m better able to handle conflict without resorting to using drugs to make it better. Dealing with my emotions again after using for so long was hard. You don’t really deal with anything when you’re getting high and having all those emotions come back full force when you’re clean can turn into quite a mess. The counselors there were great with getting me through that and dealing with my emotions in a positive way again. The staff at AFR are some of the kindest and most compassionate people I’ve had in my life and they made the whole process of getting off and staying off drugs much easier. For the first time in my life I feel ready and able to stay clean and sober and that’s due to the experience I had at A Forever Recovery.

What a wonderful rehab center! Someone very dear to me was a patient here and their journey was something only those close to them could've only dreamed of. They were so far gone down the rabbit hole that we had lost all hope. But then A Forever Recovery was found and their dedication to their clients achieving sobriety and going back into the society with hope, happiness and staying clean is such a commendable aspect of this rehab center that thank you is barely enough to show our gratitude! The rehab's attention to every part of the rehabilitation program is awe-inspiring. The nutrition plan they use is incredible and unlike anything I've seen before. To think with healing the body from the inside out is outstanding! Putting back health with vitamins and nutrition to reverse the negative effects of drugs is ingenious. Add that to their group activities, the meetings, the education to teach those addicted how to overcome it are all magically wrapped in this beautiful package of recovering their life back! So incredible. Plus, the facility is such a serene area for recovery. There is nothing better than peace and quiet while everyone heals and fights through their addiction. I am so happy that they found A Forever Recovery and is back to living a wonderful, clean life!

I literally do not understand some of these reviews. The staff are great and the facility is great. It really has served its purpose and made me drug free a feeling I have not had in a long time and a life I have not lived in a long time. Treatment options are good. Staff will work with you and guide you through the process. But you have to be able to pull yourself up from where you have been. It has been months and I am able to get back to living. I can not even begin to tell you the emotional and physical H*LL I have been through. I am not going to lie for you people put there who are on the fence. It is scary wondering what it will be like and to be taking that step to get things done and started. That was the hardest. THen staying when I could pick up the phone and call my family because I wanted to give up in the beginning but I did not. I did not give up at all. I kept on going. I have seen so many people give up and you want to stop them but you can't you have to focus on yourself. I received so much support from my peers and the staff to get where I am today and I want to say thank you! Thank you so much for getting me to this place I am at in my life right now. You are all awesome. I live so far away but I wish I could come and see you guys and let you see the difference in my life. I feel that I need to give you this public shout out and let everyone know it does work and it will help. YOU just have to be willing. Please, all of you have a great life and I hope that I will never have to see you again. Because if I do then I have hit hard times again. For anyone needing help and wondering what to do. Just do it. Just start and get your life on track. There is no time like now. Good luck and I always will have those who are suffering in my thoughts.

This rehab is just horrible and degrading. They keep many things from you when you're on the phone with admissions. How can they expect us to be honest when the leaders lie. Do not send your loved ones here! This place deserves to be shut down and the director doesn't deserve a job with his lies.

I wanted to say a few words here about A Forever Recovery, even though it has actually been years since I went to this treatment center. I had a really phenomenal experience at this treatment center, one of which has helped me to create almost eight years of stable sobriety (yes I went to A Forever Recovery eight years ago and yes they have been around that long). The level of care and sincerity I got from the staff at A Forever Recovery, the quality of the program itself, the help and direction I got from the program’s various paths, and the fact that I was able to stay there much longer than I was able to stay at most other programs all combined to give me a stable recovery process that was truly life changing for me. I would strongly recommend A Forever Recovery to anyone who is desiring beating drug and alcohol addiction once and for all and for good. This treatment center really made all the difference for me and helped me find myself. Between the great staff members, the multi-modality approach that they offer, and the malleable length of time of the program itself really made this the program that was able to make all the difference in my overall recovery process. It really helped me a lot and assisted me in finding my path out of addiction and into stability and abstinence that has lasted me for year. Thank to you A Forever Recovery!

Don't let the photos on the website deceive you. They will first take you to a detox center, which is in a very old building and very tight spaces. Sometimes up to 6 people in a room. They won't show you this on the website because they know you won't come. Notice how on the website you see no pictures of the rooms!? It's because the rooms are horrible. Depressing to say The least. Looking at going here? Ask for a tour first and demand to see the detox center. I would never send my loved one here again after the horrific time they had.

This facility is amazing because it offers so many options of treatment. It offers whatever is needed to completely handle the addiction and get the person back to be a happy drug free individual who has a second chance at life ! The staff display a loving family like concern for all the patients which makes a world of difference. The website is also very informative and helpful when comparing with other facilities in making an important decision in a crucial point in ones life. Well done AForever Recovery. You bring hope back to many people!

My parents pestered me for 6 months before I finally agreed to go to A Forever Recovery. I’m more than lucky that my parents found AFR and were relentless in their determination to get me there. For the first time in 9 years I feel normal again when I’m sober. I started using pain meds when I was 23 and went to my first rehab 2 years into my addiction. I went to 5 more rehabs before my parent found AFR and going to AFR was completely different and better than all those other rehabs put together. Every time I finished a rehab program in the past I would try to stay clean and I would for a month, maybe 2 but the biggest problem I had was the fact that I wasn’t comfortable in my own skin anymore and the knowledge that if I just used I’d feel normal again. On the one hand, I wanted to be sober. On the other hand, I just wanted to feel normal. So eventually I’d give up and relapse. I thought AFR would be like the other rehabs and didn’t quite understand why they seemed to be so fixated on this one place when in the past it was just getting me a rehab, any rehab. When I got there and started interacting with the staff I came to realize why my parents thought so highly of AFR. Every staff member was exceptionally kind and compassionate and incredibly helpful all the time. I felt comfortable there and was able to relax and just concentrate on my recovery. I was able to talk with and open up to my counselors. For the first time since I started using I felt like a had a decent shot of staying clean when I finished the program. It was about 6 weeks into my program at AFR when I noticed how different I was. I was exercising and eating well. Something that actually surprised me was how good the food there was. I was smiling more and just happy to be there doing a rehab program that worked for me. Throughout the program I got more and more comfortable just being me. I didn’t feel off when I was sober anymore and as that was one of the major hurdles I’ve always had I knew that I could and would be able to stay sober when I finished my program and went home. I’ve had some bad days since I’ve finished my program but I haven’t relapsed and going to AFR gave me the tools I needed to get through those bad days and the support system to help me when I need it. Going to AFR helped me so much. It’s amazing being clean and sober. More importantly though I feel like myself again. Being sober is normal for me now and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Very calm are and the most amazing staffs i ever met .I would like to recommend this drug and alcohol rehab facility to everyone who is looking for a stable solution to their addiction problems. They have helped numerous people who have been addicts for a long period, and they will help you doesnt matter what problem you have. I know this because I have a friend who has been at their facility, and now its been a year or more that he didnt touch any drugs, and now he is working at this facility, and I am always amazed at the stories he tells me. I see a huge change in him. Actually if you didn't know him before, you would never think that he ever used drugs. The difference that I see with this facility and others, that the staff memebrs are really eager to help others, and they are there because they want to help. Further ore, they have this very cool attituded towards clients, they are not like a hosbital, but treat you more like a family. I have visited him a few times, and it is really a familial approach, they treat eveyone with respect, and they are so warm and welcoming. On top of it it has such a beaityful surroundings, it is so calming, just by being there, you feel instaltly better. I am sure this plays a role in the recovery too. I would really suggest you to give them a call and visit them, you will undoubtedly choose them. Good luck!

Strengths:Rehab and detox Weakness:Under staffes. During my treatment, I had ready access to my individual therapist, and was welcomed by the additional therapists on staff. All therapists on staff during my stay contributed to my treatment, and would like to personally thank each and every one of them. The nursing staff did an outstanding job with both compassion and professionalism. When challenged by other patients, they responded both courteously and professionally while sticking to policy. Let's face it, recovering addicts are not always the easiest people to deal with. Meals and accommodations were great, providing a clean, safe and enjoyable experience. For me, the staff were always available and willing to help me with anything I was struggling with during treatment. Much thanks and respect to them, after all they have a hats job dealing with addicts. If I could recommend one change, it would be that they employed more staff. I feel like they were a bit overwhelmed by loads of work. In my opinion, the 12 steps and all the programs were correctly run, and they adhered to policy. I feel like I got out the most of the treatment. I hope that I will never have to go back to rehab, because I just wanna stay sober, but if I would have no choice, I would chooses again Forever recovery in a heartbeat.

Very on purpose staff members.I would like to recommend forever recovery to everyone who would like to get sober in the most effective and the most holistic way possible. They are equipped to help you detox with more natural remedies rather than pills. Of course they have nurses administering medications when it is needed. They have the detox center at the rehab, so you can do everything there, and it is also for the comfort for the patience. Once you are through the detox, you start on your 12 steps and you take part of group counseling and you also do one on one sessions. The strength of this facility is really the diversity of programs, cause you can choose not just the 12 steps but for example a faith based track. This would be ideal for those who are believers in Jesus. Or you could also do the cognitive track, for those who are non believers or who would like to benefit from understanding the triggers etc. So as you can see these are the inly options, I just listed a few. There are more, and everyone can find one that suits their believes. I have to add that the staff members are really into their job, and they really are there to help others. This is a different rehab compared to other rehab centers, because some of the staffs have been themselves through similar situations and they are really there to help others to get out of the trouble. They don't do it for the money, they do it because they honestly want to help and make you feel better, and to get back your sobriety.

6 months ago, my daughter went to A Forever Recovery and we couldn’t have asked for a better treatment center. Started using pain medication 5 years ago. She was 26 when she started using them and before that she had a great job. She had been working at the same company, steadily moving up for 4 years. When she started using she stopped doing good work when she was there but was constantly late or just didn’t show up for work. She went to her first rehab when she got fired and I had thought it would be a bit of a wake-up call for her. She didn’t take it seriously at all though. She refused to listen to the counselors and wouldn’t do what she needed to in the program. She just spent her time there hating it and everyone around her and of course when she left she relapsed right away. This went on for the next several rehabs until she went to AFR. When she went to AFR the staff there didn’t let her get away with any of the things she would do at the previous rehabs to get out of doing something. They made her confront her problems and take responsibility for her actions but the staff did it in a way that my daughter could deal with. They have multiple programs at AFR and so my daughter was able to do a program that was tailored to her and her needs. She wasn’t just doing the same program as everyone else hoping that it would help her. It made such a difference. With her counselors help she decided which program was right for her and after that she took responsibility for her own recovery. She did everything she was supposed to. She did each the of the program fully and wasn’t able to move onto the next step until she was truly 100% ready. She spent 2 months there and they changed her life and her attitude completely. She stopped denying the need for help and acting like her addiction was nothing. When she completed her program and came home she worked hard doing her aftercare, making sure that she was doing what she needed to in order to stay sober. She’s been home for 4 months and hasn’t had a relapse. Having my daughter back and sober for as long as she has been is truly incredible. The program, along with the staff at A Forever Recovery make the best place you could send someone you loved to get help. Going there has changed my daughter in the best ways.

When I was younger I dealt with a lot of depression from being overweight and people making fun of me. It was an everyday thing in my life I felt worthless I felt unattractive so when I turned 16 and was in high school I met a group of friends that accepted me for who I am. The only thing I did not like is the fact that they took pills they smoked and they got drunk on a regular basis. I had good grades I had never touched a pill or smoked a day in my life. One day I decided to try the pills they were all taking which were ecstasy and I loved the feeling it gave me. I soon began taking any pills I could get my hands on. The pills and the drinking I felt like helped me cope with life helped my pain I felt inside even if it was temporary could not get enough of the feeling. I had begun to go downhill after that I quit school never went back I never graduated and all of my so called friends just disappeared little by little until I was alone again just me my loneliness and my thoughts. I thought I was already as low as I could go until I decided I did not want to live anymore and I took a whole bottle of pills that my mom had. All I know is I felt really guilty when I woke up sober in the hospital with my mom crying over me. I could not believe I had let her down so much my whole family down I realized I was being selfish and it was time to get control of my life back. I had not had control in so long I knew I could not do it alone I sucked up my pride and I asked my mom to help me. My mom made some phone calls and by the time she got back with me I already had a flight booked and everything I was definitely ready. It was the hardest decision I felt like I ever made in my life but I knew I had to do it. I was tired of depending on my mom to support me depending on drugs to live and cure my pain I needed something new I had to change my life and this was a start for me.i got on the plane and made my way to a forever recovery. I was greeted as soon as I walked in they made me feel comfortable and told me they were there to work for me I felt safe. I was among others who understood what I had been through and the long road ahead they offered words of encouragement every day. I am not going to lie some days I felt like giving up but when I did there was always someone there to help me cope. I learned new skills while I was there and I met new friends that now feel like family to me. I am thankful I made this decision to go to treatment had I not I do not know where I would be in my life. These staff members treated me as though I was family I never went without anything I needed and I always had someone to talk to. They deserve praise for what they do there in the facility I know the job they have cannot be easy but you can’t tell they were always smiling always friendly. After I left treatment I decided to go back to school and get my god and I was successful it was hard very hard but I pulled through and I even got to walk on the stage for it. I am now employed I love my job I have plenty of friends probably more than I need actually. I am surviving thanks to a forever recovery for giving me the courage and the skills to face the world sober and learn to live my life without drugs or alcohol. I am hoping to start some fall college classes and go to school to be a counselor I would love to help others in the way I was helped I want to one day make a difference in some one’s life. If I can keep one person from going down the same road I did I would love do make that happen. I am thankful the staff members at a forever recovery cared about me enough to want to help me to want to see me succeed in life. they gave me the tools I had never had before and the doctors did not push me away like most would with medication they wanted to help me genuinely I am alive today because of these people I truly am grateful for everything they taught me everything they did for me. I want to hopefully go back one day and thank everyone personally and show them this whole new person I am today and it’s all because of them. My life has now actually begun and I am excited for this journey I am on today. Thank you to everyone that helped me and I recommend anyone out there looking for help to get help at a forever recovery they truly care for you and it will change your whole life.

Very nice people Didnt like so luch the food Thank you to a forever recovery they helped me into a program when I felt hopeless. I have been into 3 detox centers before and each time I relapsed. I have wanted to get clean but these other programs never seemed to care. Forever recovery staff actually cared about me and helping me get sober. They understood me like no one ever did before, they really knew what I was going through. They helped me through withdrawal and then therapy which helped me to understand that a lot of my using was because I was suffering from things that happened in my past that got me to a dark place? I am now 6 months clean and I am living in a new place, have a job and I feel like I have such a great contact with my family, that I did not have for a ling time. I couldn't have done this without the support of the counselors and all the amazing staff that got me through this program, and who I feel like they became my family. You guys have thought me so much about myself, about life, about people. All that I have learned here made me a responsible person again, who can live a drug free sober life, and finally I feel like I am worth something. Such n amazing feeling, thank you so much for everything!

Moral Reconation Therapy, Individual counseling, Therapeutic process group, Cleanliness I have worked at this facility for almost eight years, have seen many changes throughout the years, but through it all the staff really cares about the clients/patients and has their best interest at heart. When clients/patients put their all into the program for themselves awesome changes and personal growth can occur.

The staff members are very helpful and understandign Old building I can only say good things about a forever recovery. They have a clients is first attitude, and they will do anything for their clients. I really have nothing negative to say about this place. Maybe the only thing is that it is in a rather old building but it is well kept a d maintained so it is really not an issue. I liked the fact that there were quite a few staff who had a similar experience to mine, and I would have never though of. They were them example that you can do well and come off of drugs with their method. I quite enjoyed their holistic methods, it is a bit unusual, well not so much since there are other centers who too have these methods, so it was nice. I am all for spirituality and I felt like I went to the right place, and they actually could hook me up with a program that respected my views. I wasn't forced to do a program that I did not like, so that was good. I had great peers and we had each others back when needed. I fell like this program was very beneficial to me and I feel like that this time was the last time I went to rehab, I can handle it now.

When my husband went to A Forever Recovery it was his last chance to get his life together before I divorced him and took our kids away. I love my husband and didn’t want to divorce him but I wasn’t going to put our kids through something like that. When I told him that I wanted a divorce he asked for one more chance, going to rehab and I agreed. I figured at worst I’d do what I’d planned on and get a divorce but at best I wouldn’t have to and we could get through his addiction and all the other stuff him being addicted to crack caused. I came across A Forever Recovery when we started looking for rehab options and it seemed like a great place. It looked beautiful and peaceful in all the pictures and when I called and talked to a counselor I was impressed with the amount of help and patience I received. Prior to my husband getting addicted to crack I had no knowledge of addiction and what it did to a person. The counselor I spoke with was great about answering all my questions and making sure I truly understood what was going on. I started noticing a difference in my husband within the first two weeks of his being there. He was able to communicate with me more and seemed much happier. We went to visit once about a month into his program and I was floored by how much he’d changed. He had gained all of his weight back and was happy and smiling. Watching him play with our kids again was amazing. It was the first time since he started smoking crack that he was laughing and smiling while playing with the kids. The counselor I spoke with during his program was so great about giving me updates on his progress and how he was doing throughout his program. She called me consistently throughout his program but if I had a question or concern she was great about handling them. If I called and wasn’t able to speak with her right away she called me back almost immediately and would speak to me no matter what time it was. When my husband graduated the program and came home I was extremely nervous. Doing well in an environment like there is at AFR is one thing but doing well back home when he’s back at work and has to deal the regular struggles of day to day life is quite another. He hasn’t relapsed but what’s more is that he’s being a great father and a wonderful husband. We’re able to communicate with each other so much better since he did his program. He takes the kids out for an afternoon and I’m not freaking out the whole time anymore that something bad will happen or that he’ll relapse and I won’t be there to take the kids. He’s not just telling me that he wants to be a part of our family again he shows me in all the ways that are important that he’s going to be the husband I want and the father that our kids needs.

Very nice people who work there, A downfall was that I think its pricey for some I am very satisfied with all the staff and all their work. While I was at a forever recovery I received the best care that is possible to receive. Everyone was so courteous with me and showed only professionalism what ever the situation was. I was very impressed with the fact that no one ever lost their patience with me. I am really great full for that guys, thank you for having patience with me, I know I was very annoying! I also think that the counseling was awesome, I cried so much during and had so many emotions coming out but it was the best thing I did so far. Tye entire experience was amazing. Well it was really nard though, but now looking back and having gone through it all I think this was the most amazing thing I did for myself. With all those other activities that I did too, I felt whole, i felt normal again, and I made so many good friends. I had so much fun. I find that they did such a good job helping everyone. I feel like that the program was very useful for me and I am pretty sure that I am very good now, and I keep going to meetings and I keep my head out of trouble. I think that forever recovery is really an excellent rehab for anyone, specially if you really want to get clean.

Amazing people who work there Food could be better though. Where should I start. A forever recommend very dud so much for me, they deserve a good word from me. They have greatly helped me to get on the good road towards sobriety after 10 years of addiction and many many tries, and many different rehabs. The huge difference between afr and the other rehabs? Is that it works. I feel like they were the only once who fully understood my case, and actually healed me inside out. I had a fantastic case manager, who understood me completely and got to the bottom of my case. She was so nice to me when I wanted to give up everything, but she did not let me do this, and I am great full for that! I really enjoyed the program itself too, and I feel like the other activities were very beneficial too. I enjoyed our times out, our off days. We had good outings, it helped compensate. I really enjoyed working out, it felt good to get back to it again. All the members of the staff have been very helpful and in general they are all nice people. I really liked that everyone was very caring, and they always made sure I was doing well, and if this was not the case they did everything to make me feel well. When I felt very sick at the detox, they gave me the right medications, like natural remedies too and all that. I really appreciate it. I would recommend afr to anyone.

Treatment Building was a strength. If you ever feel like addiction is taking control over your life, don't hesitate to reach out for help. There are probably many great places but my recommendation would be to check out A forever recovery. Definitely a great staff all around and 24 hr supervision helps make this place really feel safe and comfortable for your treatment. The diversity of programs that are offered are all amazing. I really liked that I had a choice of which program should I do. I did not have to do the 12 steps, I could chose the smart recovery too, but I wanted to do the 12 steps and it was great. I have to say that all the staff are really nice and are absolutely not judging. You can be very open and honest with them, the more open you are the more they can help you. I really want to mention that I loved the one on one therapy. It helped me get on with my program. My counselor was just a genius. I have to thank to the entire team though, they are really organized and everything went very smooth throughout my stay. Everyone was extremely nice and the detox and the program and the counseling was perfect. I am not sure where i would be without them.

My sister went to A Forever Recovery about a year ago and her life has improved drastically since she went there. When she first went to AFR I figured it was going to be like every rehab before it that she’d gone to. She’s been to so many rehabs over the last 10 years that I’ve lost count. Each time she completed a rehab she relapsed almost immediately. I think the longest she went without relapsing was a month, maybe 2. She hasn’t once relapsed since going to AFR and it’s pretty amazing to see how much a year of clean time does for a person. When my sister started using pain medication it started innocently. She had a prescription from her dentist after a root canal. Even though she had been to rehab 5 years earlier no one thought much of it. She had gone to that first rehab for a crystal meth problem and after finishing it she never touched meth again. In the 5 years since completing that first rehab for meth she created a great life for herself. She was married, had 2 beautiful kids and a great job. I guess it made the rest of us complacent and we didn’t worry about the pain medication when we obviously should have. She started having more and more dentist appointments and then started doctor shopping to get more pain medication. It was 2 years before she went to her first rehab. I know all of us were hoping that the same thing would happen and she would just go to the one rehab and never have a problem with it again. That wasn’t the case however and it’s been pretty rough on everyone for the last 8 years. By the time my sister had gone through her second rehab for pain medication she was divorced and while at first, she had joint custody of her kids that quickly changed. When she lost custody of her kids things went from bad to worse. She seemed to just stop even trying to get off the pain meds and while she went to rehabs you could tell she just didn’t care about getting off the drugs. She wouldn’t put any effort into doing a problem and would just stick around until she was allowed to go home and get high. When she finally got arrested it was a relief to most of us. For one, we knew she was relatively safe and most likely unable to get high. She was sentenced to a state-run rehab for 6 months. She had to wait in jail for a spot to open up and she spent 9 months in jail. We were all hoping that getting arrested and spending so long in jail and then rehab would finally make a difference. I think she lasted a couple months after that rehab before she started getting high again. Only this time she wasn’t doctor shopping but buying drugs from the friends she met in jail and rehab. She started snorting the pain pills and then she started shooting up. She went back to jail for a probation violation when she failed a drug test and again was sentenced to rehab. When she relapsed after that one was when she went to A Forever Recovery. What’s amazing is how quickly my sister changed when she was at AFR. She started caring more about herself and actually wanted to stop relapsing. She dealt with the reasons she started getting high in the first place and having dealt with those things have made it easier for her to not relapse again. Since completing the program she had worked tirelessly to get her life back. She’s working again and is making efforts to get back in her kid’s lives. She calls them all the time and they are finally started to believe that she’s going to be around again and not end up right back in jail. She’s slowly gaining the trust of her family members back and I love seeing how much she improves every single day. What A Forever Recovery did for my sister is beyond anything I could have imagined. They were able to help her when all the rehabs before couldn’t. My sister is doing amazingly well and that’s all due to the people and the program at A Forever Recovery.

I really appreciated the help and the care that A Forever Recovery gave my son, and I have a lot to say about them, but I will try to be brief. The A Forever Recovery rehab program was excellent and well put together in the sobriety and the abstinence that they provides to me. I was pleased with how well thought out this rehab center was, and I was also quite impressed with the level of care and service that the program offered to my boy. I don’t think my son would be here today if it had not been for this treatment center. There were a few things that struck me as being unique about A Forever Recovery from my talks with the staff, my touring of the facility, and hearing my son’s stories of his experience there. The staff there are just phenomenal. A truly helpful bunch of individuals who are dedicated and impassioned with helping people find their way out of an addiction struggle and into a level of sobriety and abstinence that is lasting and permanent. Truly great people, and every one of them dedicated to helping create stability and abstinence in the hearts and minds of those who go there for help. The program itself that they use there is a good one. Well thought out and well equipped to assist anyone with any level of an addiction struggle, the A Forever Recovery approach is a multi-modality approach that engage people in forward thinking and a clear mindset of what needs to be done to get rid of addiction. The facility was great too. Well equipped, well put together, pleasant amenities, comfortable rooms, and a nice setting on a lake too. It’s an ideal scene, because there are enough pleasantries to be comfortable and calming, but not too much to be distracting. I would strongly recommend A Forever Recovery. This rehab center and recovery program was helpful to my son, and I feel like it would have the tools and the abilities to help anyone who comes to them seeking help for an addiction.

If you are serious about recovery and find that the twelve step method is not for you this is definitely the place to go. They do have the traditional 12 steps too, but its facultative. You get to choose between the different options, such as SMART recovery that I choose. The staff are incredibly skilled, knowledgeable and professional and truly want to see their clients get better. You will be provided with all the tools and guidance necessary for a successful recovery within a relaxed social environment. Along with the counseling and guidance session there is plenty of time allowed for daily activity outings and free time to spend as you choose. The relaxed environment helps you focus on your healing, and deal with the things you need to deal with. I enjoyed their meals as well, you always get a good choice of meals, so you don't get bored of eating the same food over and over, even if you stay a considerable time. I really appreciated that I could stay for a longer period of time, because I did not feel like 30 days were enough, so I stayed almost 2 months, and boy it was good. I feel like afr has given me so many tools in order to live a drug free life. Thank you to all the caring staff for helping me get to this point. Love you guys!

My husband went through this program and so far he made a lot of progress. We like that this rehab treats their patients with individual programs and not everybody gets the same. The facility was very nice and neat, it did not feel like a rehab center but more like a hotel on vacation. My husband had a lot of a great time as this rehab celebrates a lot of holidays such as Thanksgiving, Easter etc... right now my husband is at home and he still has the aftercare program so we can make sure if he needs help then he will receive it fast. He is really a changed man, not drinking anymore and he is so much more at peace.

A forever recovery is truly a place of healing. Through it's holistic approaches, it covers recovery from the beginning to end. Starting with its detox/residential all the way to intensive outpatient, and after care planning a forever recovery delivers wholeness to the path towards sobriety. Not only does a forever recovery focuses on the individual, it views the process of growth to be family oriented and takes on a magnificent systems approach to reuniting individuals to a healthy, functioning family system by revising the system itself and all members within it. They do not only believe in providing change on all aspects of unhealthy self-medication but transcends the individual within on many levels of the human experience. It is very common to have addiction related to other mental obstacles, therefore their attendance to Duel Diagnosis is on point and professional best practices. In given the honor to meet the founder, I have seen transcendence at its best representation due to his phenomenal knowledge in field and moreover, the clear empathy, sincerity, and compassion of this individual who represents these exact components in providing true healing.

It’s an amazing thing to know that my son is truly living his life for the first time in 11 years. My son was addicted to crack cocaine for 11 years and it was a pretty rough 11 years for all of our family. It’s hell to have someone you love addicted to drugs. You try to help them but nothing you do really seems to help. You send them to rehab only to have them start using again. You know in your head that you are doing everything you can to help them but in your heart, it always feels like you could do more. For 11 years my son was in and out of rehab and jail and it’s awful to watch and awful to go through. I was always hopeful when my son went to rehab and always relieved when he was in jail. Hopeful when he was in rehab because maybe this time it would be different and he would be able to stay clean. Relieved when he was in jail because for the length of time that he was in jail I knew that he was at least marginally safer. I knew that he was eating and that he was sleeping and that he would be a least a little bit healthier when he got out. When he went to A Forever Recovery he was truly ready to get the help he needed to overcome his addiction. A Forever Recovery was so much different than the previous rehabs he had been to. The building and the property are beautiful. While my son was at A Forever Recovery he had a sort of serenity to him that wasn’t present at any other rehab. He liked the program he was doing and he especially liked the people. He felt that the people working at AFR truly understood him and what he was going through. So, when a counselor or someone said they wanted to help him and they understood what he was going through it didn’t immediately put his back up. He was more willing to listen and learn at AFR and that made such a big difference with his recovery. He went to AFR 8 months ago and has been home for 6 months. He’s been clean before. Was actually clean for an entire year at one point. It’s so much different this time though. It isn’t just that he’s not using drugs. It’s that as a person he’s changed so much. He’s become a really caring person. He and his father have had a much more strained relationship than he and I had and he’s taking action to fix that relationship. When my son went to AFR I expected it to a place much like the other rehabs he has gone to. I wanted him to get the help he needed to overcome his addiction I just wasn’t sure that help existed. AFR is like no other rehab though. It was the only place my son felt like he could be himself and get the help he needed. It was also the first place where I felt like my son was a priority to the staff.

A forever recovery was the best experience of my life. I had a horrible coke problem and am proud to say I was a year clean and sober yesterday. The case managers care so deeply about every patient there. They don't candy coat anything though. If you're wrong, they will put you in your place, which is exactly what you need when you have been living by your own rules for so long and need someone to help direct you in the right way again. I hated it in the beginning, i felt like the staff were all jerks and i was being treated unfairly. But that's what you need to really get sober, in my opinion. Of course the staff isn't going to take any level for crap from patients, they are dealing with drug addicts. we are, by nature, people who will do anything to get our way. The drivers, the staff, at the facility and who live in the homes with you are all amazing people. This place has great group sessions and a really effective family program. It's true, it's only what one makes of it to really get the most out of it. I appreciated all of the hard work that the case managers did for me. I swear, pick afr if you need help.

The place is nice, the staff are nice too. I had an over all very good experience with afr. I went there for drug addiction, and I did the program, mainly 12 steps, but there is some other choices too. The counselors were very nice, they were really helping me with my issues, and I am glad I decided to go to rehab, because I just could not keep going how I was going. Now after 5 weeks that I am back i feel stable and I don't feel like I need any drugs ever again. I know you can relapse, but I think I am nit going to, the program was very effective. I recommend a forever recovery to those who are serious about getting clean.

Forever recovery is really a rehab that is a bit different from other places. They have an open ended program, which means you got to stay as much as you need to finish your program. In my viewpoint this is much better, than if it would be only 30 days, since you really only leave when you and the counselors are sure about that you gonna be ready to face tour life when you leave. There is a huge percentage of people who come out of the rehab and get back to drugs in months or less. I was one of those, so I felt that this was a good option to stay as much as needed, and we don\'t have this pressure that we gonna have to be ready in like 30 days and than out of the door back in life and we have to be perfect and deal with all these emotions and situations. 30 days are way too short, you still have withdrawal issues, and any time you still have these urges to use. So yes the pressure is high and you are already in this horrible state. I think it is really good you can even stay like 60 days in case you need to stay. I stayed 50 days, and it was good, when I got through detox all i was thinking about was to leave cause it was just horrible, and I just didn\'t care about getting clean, i just wanted to get high again, but the nurses helped me through and all the other staff members who were working with us. They really had a hard time with me, I think I was the hardest probably, maybe not but they helped me, they gave me vitamins, and meds when I needed, and so on, so I got through the hard part, I started on the program, which i quite enjoyed cause I could chooses between a few things, you got your usual 12 steps, Cognitive and faith based. I think this is good, cause if you don\'t like one, or don\'t believe in like god or something you can do more traditional paths. Besides the program, group meetings and counseling There was possibilities for group activities and music therapy, not a bad idea by the way. But one thing that i really liked, was that how nice the are was where the center is. It is on a huge land, really calm, you go out take some sun, relax, listen to the little birds, and you just calm down and I loved that. It was so nice to go out like that in the nature. Now that I am back home it is going really good and i am 97 clean. I think its going well. I recommend afr.

This place is a good place in ovet all, very good service in terms of helping you come off the drug or alcohol. It is not very nice and old, but the program itself work. In all honesty it is not very nice again just saying, so don\'t be surpised, but the point I am trying to make is that it is not the most important part of the program, after as that goes, it does have an advantage that you are still away from your usual triggers and peers who would agree with you to do drugs and so on, and it is ina a quiet area, so you will at least be in a quietnice surrounding. It is next to a lake and you can really relax and forget your day to day life, which in itself has a huge therapeutic value. When you first get there you go to the detox, you go there till you take your last dose and than they move you to a different room. Than you see you do your program, that is set up with a counselor, so you go over your issues, why you are there, what do you want to get out of the program, what things do you need fixing with, weak points and so on. You than go to group meetings and also one on one counselings too. The good thing here too is that there are different tracks that you can choose like faith based and sekf help and what not, so they do not force you go read the bible or whatever if you are really not religious, and those who are they also have their peogram, so eveyone is happy, but they still get the same benefits, it is just a differetn approach to reach the same goal. Than there are these alternative classes or methids, whatever tzey are called, like music therapy and arts and so on. There is also a room where you can work out, and get fit, and or you can go out and do some exercise, there are also group exercises, this I liked a lot, I prefer to work out in a group. There is even a cooking class, I personally did not go, but some others did and it was apparently very useful. But what did it to me was really to see where did my addiction came from in the first place and to really deal with thise things in life, and learned how to deal with them. I also realized many things, many things I wanted to changed and I did change. What is great too is that you learn to recognize thise things people that make you wanna use, or situations that would drive you back all the way again into the same situation, and if you already know what it is it is much easier to handle it. Honestly it was very hard, of course was hard, atvthe beginning, I was scraping the wall from the pain, but it was for the good cause because now I can say I am off drugs and I am clean! Finally clean! All this I would have not been able to achieve without the help feom the amazing staff at afr!

My half sister has szruggled with addiction for many many years! i don\'t even remember her seeing fully clean for a longer period than a week or two. Yeah like really bad, i cludi g getting arrested numerous times, it was getting really hard on the family and everyone, we almost never even talked much anymore, cause there was not much to talk about. It was about her all the time, what to do what to do, all our efforts ended up not working, so we were looking for solutions, like we have been for a long time, and we heard ablut afr, and than we watched some videos and read about it, and most of the people said that it really helped them get theough the program and helped them get sober, cause of the more holistic approach they applied. So that sounded really good, we thought since it is a bit different, the are more helping the person find their inner problems and so on it might work. To be honest we did not have much of a beleife since it has been a long time that she was under going so many different treatments or getting hell, but this was it. They did do what they promised and we were all so skocked and surprised. I could not beleive my eyes when she came back, she seems like really honestly happy and satisfied with her rehab. She was herself and we could talk to her and she was there and she was listening and smiling. Amazing! She did not have these urges or this tired used face anymore, she was herself after such a long time. She said what made the biggest difference for her was, that they really made her face her personal issues and see what it was that made her use drugs and they fixed all her issues, she is more confident now and she knows how to deal with her issues and triggers. She said she also realized that she was really hanging out with the wrong people, but now she knows and she made real life long friends at the rehab, and she saw how they were helping each other and really pushing each other to move on their program and to stay clean. She said that there was a gym at the rehab, that was very good, she went ot work out as much as she could, and that helped her also get through the hard parts. There were also many different courses like music and art therapy, she tried them and she liked those too, cause they got to woth together as a group and they had so much fun. She said that she really bonded with many people. She also said that most of the staff were amazing, they followed up on them, and they were really caring about her to get better. The director would come up to her every day to ask her how she was doing and what help does she need and what not. I think thats fantastic that every staff cares this much. She liked the place too, though it needs some upgrades, but it was still nice. Just from seeing my half sister change this much after the rehab I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

I would not let my dogs sleep at this place. I was there for two weeks, (yes, i\'m still sober). The building is about 45-50 degrees at all times so you will need layers of clothes. Most all of the teachers and after care are ex-addicts whome some were only clean 6 months. I think its good to have some addicts but you need educated employees as well. When i left and my parents told them the negative things, the lady hung up on my dad. I was forced to sit in the lobby for 3 hours and wait for my wife and not allowed to shower. I saw a counselor individually for 40 minutes per week. (they said it was an individual program) That\'s a lie. Its extremely dirty. They say a 78% success rate for the last several years. Anyone that knows math knows that number fluctuates and will bounce around. When i asked them i was ignored. There were 5-6 fights when i was there. There were 11-12 seperation orders from guys and girls getting too close. When people graduated they made them pack and sleep on a couch instead of in their room or letting them go to the airport so they could charge them for another night. I understand this is a business but this place is absolutely horrible and only cares about your money. Once you are done or leave they treat you like you dont exist anymore. If you care about yourslf or a loved one you will not even step foot inside this place. My whole family was disappointed. They tell you they have whatever it is you are looking for to get in the door, lie or not,

Every aspect of my life has improved since I went to A Forever Recovery. My dad and I have had a pretty strained relationship ever since I started using when I was 16. I love my dad and have always wanted to mend our relationship. The problem was that I couldn’t stay clean. We’d go out to lunch or dinner and he’d be wondering the whole time if I was getting high. When I would see high sober he never trusted that it was something that would last. It sucked not having his trust but the truth is I didn’t trust myself to stay clean so really, it’s not as if my dad could. I hate going to rehab. I mean everyone does but for me it wasn’t that I hated the work to get clean. I hated everything about the rehabs. The staff, the other patients, the furniture. I mean everything. I always felt so uncomfortable at those places and it was impossible for me to open up about my life when I felt so uncomfortable. When I got to A Forever Recovery I was expecting to feel the same aversion to the facility. Before I went I had decided that I would give the facility a week before I decided if I hated it or not. At AFR though I felt safe. Not right from the start because it’s impossible to feel comfortable right from the moment you walk into a rehab. Everything is completely unfamiliar and I always feel so awkward in those kinds of situations. The staff there were really patient with me though. They didn’t push me to do anything that I wasn’t completely comfortable with. They didn’t expect me to start opening up about my life the first day I was there or anything like that. There was an understanding that I was really reserved about everything and they respected that. Because of that, because I wasn’t pushed right from the start I was able to start feeling safe and comfortable there. That is what made the difference between AFR and every other rehab I’ve been to in the past. The staff cared enough about me to not push me into something I wasn’t ready for. I did feel safe there though and so I was able to get through the uncomfortable times when I didn’t want to deal with something but that I obviously needed to deal with. The other clients I went through the program with were great. Every one of us was there to get help. No one’s parent or husband or wife made them go. Each of us wanted to get help and so we were really able to help each other get through it. I made friends there that I will have for the rest of my life and who have helped me so much not only at AFR but since graduating and leaving the program. The program was hard for me, but coming home was even harder. I didn’t have any friends who didn’t get high and being at home night after night with no one to talk to and nothing to do would have driven me crazy if it weren’t for the guys at AFR that I met who were having the same problem. Having someone to talk to for hours at a time each of us making sure the other was okay and not thinking about going out and getting high was a lifesaver for me. I want to believe I would have stayed clean without that but honestly, I needed that. My relationship with my dad is so much better. Since I was 16 I’ve been wanting a real relationship with my dad and I finally have that. We can go out to lunch and he isn’t worried I’m getting high. Our conversations don’t revolve around drugs and rehab anymore and that’s honestly amazing to me. My dad finding A Forever Recovery and helping me get there was literally the best thing that’s happened to me in a really long time.

Please don\'t take your loved ones here! It\'s horrible and only makes money for hidden purposes. Betty ford is good and others in Ohio. Akron Ohio is where AA and all other 12step movements got their start. Go to Cleveland for the best recovery from all addictions. If you have the desire not to drink your a member of AA. Having someone take you through the steps will help you sustain from all addiction. AA IS for everyone and every addict google the \"sexually Deviant AA time line\" this shows they were willing to accept everyone with any problem just as long as they don\'t drink.

This was the worst experience I have ever had! I was lied to in order to get there... I did not get my own room with one roommate, I was put in a room with 3 other girls in bunk beds ( I felt like I was in a bunker). The food is not organic and the entire place is filthy and old....Even the Social Worker at the hospital and my cab driver to the airport both told me that they have NEVER heard anything positive about this place. Do not go here... look for other places to get better!

Very good and effective rehab center and program, I know someone who got help from them, and went to A forever recovery for drug addiction, and this person is doing very well now. The staff are very nice and caring, most of them, and really want to help you through the program, so you actually get off drugs, some the selves have been through addiction, so they really understand where you are coming from, so when they tell you what to do and how they can help you, you know they are not saying something stupid, but they speak from experience. So many times you just have to accept their help and listen to what they say hey will help you. And besides this person also told me that they are all very trained and very professional but at the same time friendly, so my friend felt very well there, even though at the beginning then detox was very hard for him, and he wanted to leave a few times, but they always persuaded him to stay and to continue, which he was very grateful for, cause now he is doing very well and he is working on his after care program a lot. He is going to meetings and all that, but it is loads of work, I see it. But the thing is that they did help him with his addiction, and that is the most important. He said that otherwise it is in a very nice place the rehab center, i have seen it too, it is a bit out of the city or how should I say, and it is safer this way, also safer so they can not get in contact with dealers. And he said it is a nice place, calm and inside it is not fancy by any means, but he said the most important is that you focus on yourself and do classes you like, like exercise and other classes, maybe music if you like, cause those can help a great deal. So he did like it and I can see that he is a doing well now, hopefully will stay this way.

My cousin has completed A Forever Recovery`s program and it`s like a miracle happened to her. This place did not just save her life but she came hoe like a totally different person. She is so happy she has got goal in her life and she thinks different about things than before the rehab. She does not talk about too much about the facility but she does not need to tell different stories because I can see she was in the best place. She told us that she loved their music class. She has loved music since I know her but now she listen to different type of music and now she plays music too. Right now everything is about music around her and I am so happy for her. The other thing she told about was the staff. She said she never meet that many good people before. Everybody is so kind and they are there to help people. And they are doing it from their heart. She said she is going to recommend A Forever Recovery to all her old friend`s family because she wants to show them that they can have a beautiful life and they can be happy without drugs. So if anybody struggle with an addiction or know somebody who has that problem give A Forever Recovery a call they are going to help.

I’m so glad I found A Forever Recovery when my daughter needed help again. She’s been in and out of rehabs so many times since she started using drugs. My daughter tried heroin a few times when she was in high school and she became addicted to it really quickly. Since then, the desire and effort for her to get and stay clean have always been there. She has told me that she hates using heroin and yet even when she’s been clean for a couple months the urge to use is so incredibly strong. She stays with me after she finishes each rehab and I can tell how agonized she is from the effort it takes her to stay away from the drugs each and every day. This last time she came to me asking for help I started looking at programs and came across A Forever Recovery. Together, her and I watched the videos on YouTube and looked at the website. It really seemed like the perfect place for her to go to. When we called the intake counselor we spoke to was so helpful. He got her into the facility to start her program the very next day which is exactly what she needed. When we talked after she went through detox she said that the detox she went through at AFR was the easiest detox she’s gone through. She’s been through quite a few detoxes so for her to say that is pretty big. The staff there treated her so well and were always checking on her to see if she needed anything and finding little ways to make the detox process smoother. Throughout her entire program each time we talked she just seemed more and more at peace with herself and her past. She’s been home for 6 months now and the change in her is stunning. She’s not worn down by just the effort to stay clean. She puts effort into it sure, but it’s more her putting effort into make sure she’s doing her aftercare and working through problems. She talks to someone now when the urge to use gets too strong. Which is another thing about A Forever Recovery that is wonderful. When my daughter is having a rough day and calls AFR to talk to someone. She’s able to talk to someone right away instead of waiting for a call back. The availability of the staff there when they are needed is amazing. Whether the person that needs them is at the facility or not. My daughter got a job and while it isn’t her first job, it is the first job she’s had for more than a week. She’s doing so well and I owe everything to the staff at A Forever Recovery and the amazing job they did helping my daughter turn her life around.

Let me just start off by saying thank you AFR for having more faith in me than I ever though I could have in myself. My goal was to get sober and be a better person and I can happily say that, that is what I did. I use to strip so I could get enough money for my boyfriend and I so that we would have enough for our next high. At the time, I didn\'t even think about the fact that I was taking clothes off for drugs, I just figured it was an easy quick way to get some money. That was until I went to the club, and one of my family friends were there and saw me and knew there was something wrong because if I was straight I wouldn\'t in a million years strip. So I left, we talked and I told him everything. We talked to my parents about wanting to get help. I ended up at A Forever Recovery. I was nervous, scared and my anxiety was through the roof and all I wanted was to get high. They really taught me a lot about myself. Music therapy has to be one of my favorite classes there. It really helped bring out feelings and helped me identify what certain feeling were. The director truly cared about me. She wanted to be involved in mine and everyone\'s treatment process. Always seeing if there was anything that might help with their treatment. Aftercare was also amazing, they made sure I had all the information I could ever need once I graduated. My boyfriend was checked in as a patient after I graduated and he had the same amazing experience. Were both SOBER, working and going to college... Did I mention SOBER!!!!!!!

I came to A Forever Recovery a worthless, hopeless junkie. I was a ticking time bomb who was just trying to figure out when, where and how I was going to get my next high. I walked out a completely new man that actually had potential. I\'ve made my family and friends so proud of where I am today and I have AFR to think for that. Without the support that started in the Detox house putting up with me, I sure know it was rough for them because it was rough on me. Then the nonstop time, effort, support and dedication from my case manager, counselor, the director, nursing staff and everyone else, I don\'t think I could have made it through as smooth as I did.

AFR had a super clean environment. There only concern it to save lives. They recently helped my friend overcome his severe Meth addiction. He had been to 3 different treatment centers prior to coming here and none seemed to care enough to get him to stay. He tried to leave this one too but the staff did all they could to get him to just try it. They could tell the struggle he was going through but they didn\'t give up on him. After he finished detox he started doing so much better. Having confidence in himself. Learning more qualities he has. I can\'t remember the last time I seen him this happy about living life. He is know 100% sober, starting his 1st legit job, and is starting a family with his girlfriend. This treatment center has completely changed his entire world!

AFR is the BEST! I won\'t lie, when I first arrived there I was completely resentful. I was an intervention and was very angry. I figured it was just like jail, stuck in a building, no phone, horrible food, stupid rules. Although that wasn\'t it at all. You can use the phone to talk to loved ones and friends, the food was REALLY GOOD, and the rules, well I thought they were stupid at first, but found they really do help with daily living once you graduate. I tried to leave on multiple occasions, although with some talking to case managers, counselors, and some clients who were just about to graduate, I decided to stay. Best decision I\'ve ever made. My case manager helped me sign up for college and get financial aid while I was getting sober. Something I never thought I\'d end up doing. I learned why I could have even started doing drugs by doing my steps. My counselor helped me build a better relationship with my parents, which was great because they\'ve helped me so much since I graduated. As angry as I was in the beginning I\'m very lucky to have so many people care about me and fight for my sobriety. 7 months drug free has never felt so good!

I think Forever Recovery is a cool place if you need help. My father went there not long ago and so far he is doing really great. I hope he will successfully complete soon and be with us again. We found this Rehab on the internet , watched some videos and then we decided that its the best for him. The building is very beautiful and well kept. Staff members are caring as well and very kind. They got all kinds of programs including music therapy ( my father loves this one ) faith-based and holistic approaches and even cooking programs and many many more , its impossible to go there and not finding something what you like. The programs are all tailer made so everybody gets different steps and the best part is that when you are done you get a program which is called the after care , which means when you leave they follow up on you making sure that you are staying on the right track and also provide help if it is needed. I can\'t wait for my father to finish , this rehab hopefully will help him and we can be a family again like old times.

That place is amazing , the facility is beautiful and very neat. That the staff members are very competent in what they are doing. I love the food choices as well , it is very important to eat a well-balanced healthy diet when you are trying to recover. Your diet plays a big role in your mental well-being. It is pretty cool that they have a lot of activities too to distract you and to help you relax between . Important that members there don’t feel like they are in a prison. You get tailor made programs wich is great as we are all different so does our problem of source. My favorite is the music therapy 😉 I think it’s great sometimes people can’t express themselves and music can help them ! My sister went trough this program 2 month ago and she successfully completed it and since then she has no addiction problems. It was very though but she pushed trough. I am very happy that when we needed help with her this center was there , it was heartbreaking to see her go down on that road so u can imagine how happy I was when she was done :) She has good memories about it and she loved how much care she got :) After you are done there is this program called after care , it means that they follow you up to help you even more as after leaving sometimes people fall back due to friends , family and old environment. If you are struggling with drug problems this place is the best to go for help! I think it’s quite amazing that we live in a world where people can get help when they needed.

Before my sister went to A Forever Recovery I was just waiting for that phone call telling me she had died. My sister has struggled with addiction for 15 years now and the rehabs she’s been to in the past just haven’t helped her. The first time she went to rehab, about 15 years ago it was for methamphetamine. She went through that program and made a lot of friends. The program with that though is that she made a lot of friends who were recovering drug addicts. When she finished her program and went to hang out with a couple of them she started doing other drugs with them. The second time she went to rehab it was for pain pills. She had just been taking them orally. The next time she went to rehab she had been shooting pain pills. Now, with or without these friends she would have relapsed. It’s not on the programs she went to but on her and after her going through so many programs and just getting worse and worse when my parents decided to send her to A Forever Recovery I wasn’t too optimistic about her getting better. She’s gone through the program though and I can honestly say that I am pleasantly surprised at how she is doing. She’s been clean longer this time than after any of her earlier programs. She’s seems genuinely happy for a change and is actively working on her recovery. When she’s having a bad day she calls someone who can help her get through it without resorting to old behaviors. She still talks to her counselor there and I really appreciate that 6 months after finishing her program if she calls her old counselor he is willing to take time out of his day to sit down and talk to her. I love my sister and yet before she went to AFR I hated who she had become and I actively worked towards not being around her. I see her now and I’m so happy. She’s my big sister again and I’m grateful to have her back in my life.

I would highly recommend this facility. A Forever Recovery is one of the best rehab center. They offer many different type of treatment programs. Everybody can find the perfect fit for themselves. From all the treatment I love their faith based holistic treatment program the most. I think this is the best way of the recovery. My opinion is that it is not a good idea to try to get somebody off of drugs by using other drugs like prescription drugs. Anybody can easily become addicted to them and everything starts all over again. That`s why I really like A Forever Recovery they have so many alternatives to get clean. A Forever Recovery helped a lot of people this way and most of them still doing the same they started during rehabilitation and still going to the church after they finish the rehab. AFR gives you a second change to live and to make changes in your life. If you or your loved one is having a problem with drugs or alcohol check out this place. One of my friend went there years ago and he is still doing fine, never relapsed and he does not even think about using drugs again. His recovery was complete and 100% Thanks to A Forever Recovery for that.

One of my best friends of many years went to A Forever Recovery. He is one of my closest friends and is like a brother to me. It became apparent to me a little less than a year ago that he was suffering with an addiction to Oxycontin, a substance abuse habit that I had been suspicious that he had but never had been able to confirm until he flat out admitted it to me. I had seen other friends fall prey to addiction over the years, so I knew what I was seeing, but I couldn’t get him to admit it to me. He finally came to his parents and me and admitted that he had a problem, and we immediately worked quickly to find him a rehab center to go to. We acted fast, because we didn\'t know how long he’d be in the frame of mind where he was willing to get help and do something about his addiction habit. He had been so hidden and reticent in recent past that we were afraid he’d jump back into that stage soon enough. Shortly after beginning our search, we happened across A Forever Recovery. This center really jumped off the page at us. His parents, my friend, and I were all quite impressed with the literature we read about the center, and shortly afterwards we went in for a tour. I was quite impressed with the facility itself, the staff members there, and their rehabilitation program. A Forever Recovery offers a very malleable yet structured program. I knew at once that this would be effective for my friend because, while I knew he needed a program that could be structured around his needs and wants and what he basically as an individual needed to address to beat addiction, I also knew that he needed structure and a reliable schedule to really beat the habit once and for all and for good. Once my best friend was in A Forever Recovery and attending the program, I knew we’d made the right choice. I was a little nervous at first saying goodbye to him on his first day but the staff comforted his parents and me and we felt so comfortable with their calming presence that our concerns were soon assuaged. Ever since that first day my greatest and closest friend has done nothing but improve. He improved while he was in the center, and he’s been improving every day since he graduated. All of the great and lovable characteristics that he has have been enhanced and all the bad ones that came with the addiction are now gone. I finally have my best friend back, and I have A Forever Recovery to thank for that! -Jason

I have heard a lot about A Forever Recovery from one of my new friend. When I first met him he seemed a little confused and he got better and better day by day. And he told me his story that he was an drug addict for couple years but finally he accept his family help and he went to A Forever Recovery and completed their program successfully. He said he could not have gone to a better place than this. The staff there is so friendly and they really cared about him and every single person who was there to get help. He said the best thing about the the staff that some of them have been addict themselves that he did not know at the first day he was just wondering how they know what he needs exactly then he understood. The second best ting was that he could choose from different treatment which was the best for him he thought when you go to a place like that you don`t have the chance to do that so that was a good surprise to him and he said he loved it and here at A Forever Recovery everybody can find the perfect fit for themselves. So me personally don`t have experience with AFR but after I heard his story I would definitely recommend A Forever Recovery to everyone who struggle with ant addiction and I know about that. Everybody deserves a better life and AFR here to help with it.

Before I arrived to A Forever Recovery, I somewhat felt relieved that people genuinely cared for me when I couldn’t even begin to care for myself. I cannot think of anyone who wasn’t did/willing to go above and beyond during my rehabilitation treatment. No matter when, if I had any type of questions, there was ALWAYS someone with an answer or willing to help figure it out. That made me feel as if I was important to them, like the truly cared about me. I was willing to get back in touch with my faith by attending church every Wednesday and Sunday. To me it gave me a feeling of relief. Another thing that was important to me was when we had meals. Not only was the food absolutely FANTASTIC, but everyone ate together. Sitting together and having a meal with friends gives you a homelike feeling that I feel you wouldn’t get anywhere else. If you feel like you’re at your breaking point to wanting to change your life because of an addiction, take my advice and contact A Forever Recovery and let them help you take charge of your life and fight off the sickness that has taken control over you. It will be the best decision you’ve ever made.

My boyfriend went to A Forever Recovery and has been sober for the last 5 years as a result. Our lives have completely changed for the better and I\'m so grateful that this facility was able to get him the help he needed. He has been to several rehabs around the midwest and none have helped like this one. He has only had good things to say about A Forever Recovery and I firmly believe that this center saved both our relationship and his life.

The telemarketers will tell you anything to get you into this place. Beware because when you arrive you are then taken to a dirty detox place a few blocks away and you are asked to sign all types...Once you move to the facility then you become an inmate. Security runs the place. Residents are responsible for chores but if circumstances prevent you from finishing them you are written up. It doesn't matter that dinner may have been served late by the staff and you could't get the floor mopped in time to make it to group. If your late to group you get written up. So either way you get written up. This facility is dirty, drafty and old. The lobby looks good but once you go behind doors it's not what you think it is by all the pictures on the website. If your over the age of 27 and truly wanting to give up drinking you won't do it here. It's mostly 18-24 year old mouthy kids on mommy and daddy's insurance getting off drugs. Most of the group sessions are spent having to solve immature problems and drama by this age category. Once you let the staff know you have decided to exit beware. You are removed immediately from the living areas and made to sit in the lobby. It doesn't matter how long you have to wait in our case it was 5 hours. They will not let you have your phone or any personal things until you leave. ...they try to "morally" change you This place is a money maker for the owner only. Beware and do your research. Don't go by all the excellent reviews ...Most of them sound like people who speak broken English.

I went to A Forever Recovery for a duration of five months. My experience there has been positive mainly due to the help of the staff. Some of them know what it feels like to be recovering from addiction since they have gone through it themselves. They have shared their own stories with me and told me their challenges to the road to recovery. I chose to enter the holistic track which was the perfect program for me to enter. They offered elements of yoga and relaxation sessions that greatly helped me recover from my addiction. After graduation, I still use what I learned during my stay at A Forever Recovery.

Thank you to Forever Recovery I have been free from drugs for 5 years. I started using drugs around the 8th grade when I moved to a new school. I was a very shy person who was not very confident so it was easy for me to fall into the not so good crowd at my new school. At the time, I thought it was the easiest way to fit In. I began like most kids, smoking pot and drinking. By 10th grade, I was taking acid and doing cocaine and anything else that was going around the school at the time. I am from a small town outside of Philadelphia where drugs were very much an extracurricular activity. I came from a very solid ‘normal’ family with my parents together and was given a lot of love. They caught wind of my bad choices very early, from the first time in 8th grade when I got caught drinking so my life was no secret to them. I was often grounded and in trouble, this went on all through high school and when I tried to go away to college. My parents tried to keep a close eye on what I was doing but there was not much they could do when I was in another town. Summer before my sophomore year, I moved back home to make some extra money working for my uncle. During that time, I had been doing tons of cocaine and I was introduced to pills as they were all over my town. By the end of the summer, my addiction had spiraled out of control. I had yelling and crying fights with my family because they were trying to help and I did not want help. I was causing turmoil within my brothers and sisters and breaking my family’s hearts. After that summer, my parents sent me to my aunt to get away from drugs. I quickly found the next group of people to get high with. They did not know what to do with me. By this time, I was heavily into pills and had done heroin a few times. I went back home for my birthday while my parents had me on lock. The second night home, I snuck out, got high and overdosed at my friend’s house. When I came to, my mother was crying and screaming. I was completely cloudy but will never forget that moment. I had gone in and out of detox twice and a very short stint at a local rehab before finally being sent to Forever Recovery. It was far from easy and the first week all I wanted to do is leave, but I was blessed with a special support group at the detox center and things started looking up. The education, love, support and friendships at Forever hands down is what saved me. Full circle, I have found my passions, I go to schools in the area where I grew up and speak to the kids, share my story and hope that I can help anyone who is struggling with everything from fitting in at school to addiction to self love.

Well so far into the program I have found the negative comments about the staff and facility totally false. I myself was treated with nothing but respect and never felt like an inconvenience when I would call to have questions answered. NEXT...I would be the first one to tell it like it is IF indeed your false comments were true, however...my son is/was not just a $sign to them. He was treated with royalty right from the airline ticket, from the driver at the airport and the welcoming staff. I will keep an updated diary every so often, and should I find the malicious comments a few have made in their reviews to be true...I will let you know. But to date 2/13/2016 from what my son, and his father and I have experienced so far, I doubt very much, I we will see what was said. A huge appreciation to being a class act A FOREVER RECOVERY!!

My name is Andy and I went to this center a few months back. My mother made the initial call and spoke to an intake counselor who was very helpful in answering all of her questions. He always was honest, helped her along the way and helped me with questions I had as well. He made my mother feel secure in her decision and he made sure that all of her concerns were answered before she sent me here. I think we both felt at ease knowing that we were getting so much help before I even got here. So that was step one. When I got to the airport I had a gentleman waiting for me to transport me back to the detox and center and he was just as friendly and helpful as I could have hoped for. He understood that I was uncomfortable. He got me something to drink so I stayed hydrated and all in all it went smoothly. I did my intake when I got to the center and that was signing a few admission papers and that was smooth as well. I did not have or notice any problems upon coming into the center. When i got to the detox I was cranky and tired and the staff understood that. They did what they had to in terms of getting me admitted and made me comfortable as well. It takes a certain kind of person to deal with people of addiction and they do a great job. They are very concerned for our well being while we are here. I felt safe, well taken care of and got the help the I needed while detoxing. A short time after that I was transferred to the main building where I was now set to start my recovery program. I was not sure what to expect, but there was so much to do and consider. There were so many different groups to attend and they were there to help me find something I was interested in. I loved that I actually had a say in how things went. Bottom line is not all things work for everyone and I think you really have to have a good attitude and be willing to get the help. We need to look at life and be thankful for the opportunities that we are given, and this is one opportunity that I am thankful I was given. It has changed my life and it all started with my mom making one call and that one intake counselor that put in the time and effort to make me try something that I was not able to try on my own without help. I hope that this inspires someone to go and get some help and take an opportunity that is handed to them it may be the last step to you getting the help you need before you are writing a review of your own telling someone the same thing.

It was a positive experience for me on my journey to recovery . It just lacked things that I needed to stay sober. It was a good first step. STEPS I think a program with a 12-step basis is most effective. Meetings were offered but not a basis for treatment.

The program itself is effective which is the most important thing. It could be kept a bit cleaner however. I paid this company $10,000.00 to help me cope with an alcohol addiction. I barely made it two weeks before packing my things and leaving on a bus, without any cash (they held on to cash I had given them for personal use. I got a check in the mail for it about six weeks later). In that two weeks, I had not been able to see a therapist, shared a small shabby room with other women and one bathroom...and ruined every piece of clothing I had brought with me because of high iron content in the water that was not taken care of. I would never take someone that I love there.....it did far more harm to me than good, draining my bank account and leaving me feeling awful. This place needs to be closely looked at by the State of Michigan. It violates many health codes.

This facility is the reason I am drug free as of today. I owe so many thanks to them I do not even know where to begin. One of the staff members is hands down one of the most amazing individuals that I think I have ever met. She not only prides herself in running a nicely kept and clean facility, but she also makes it her top priority to make sure that she has the best staff around to ensure that we are all leaving her a better version of ourselves before we ever began using in the first place. Her facility is a place where I felt safe from the moment that I walked in the door. I did not feel as though I was in danger or around people who did not care. She also takes pride in her center in making sure that it is clean and runs the way that it should be. The staff her are so caring I almost do not even feel as though they are counselors, they are more like people who are your friends first and just want to talk to you and really understand how we came to the point in our lives that we turned to using drugs. Everyone helped me to understand why I was using drugs and was on this path to destruction. I really began to understand how I got here and I was soon able to take responsibility for my own actions instead of putting blame on everyone else around me. It was not their fault it was mine, I am the one that chose to do the things that I did, I am the one who decoded to steal from people and I am the one that lied to my family and friends and almost lost everyone in the process of doing so. I can not begin to tell you how this center changed my life for the better. I am now clean and have not used drugs of any kind in over five months and I have a job and most of all I have my family back. I have come to terms that I had done some very wrong thins to a lot of innocent people and I have taken the step to own up to my faults and accept responsibility for my actions. I think that really is a big step in the healing process and for my recovery as well. I am slowly gaining the trust back from so many people that I thought I had lost it from and that is very important to me as well, Everything about this place has changed my life for the better, and I owe thanks to everyone here. Not just the head of the facility but the counselors, cooks, security, trainers and even the people that were in recovery themselves. The fact that the lady that runs this place takes time out of her day to interact with all of us means a lot and I can not say thank you enough.

I was an alcoholic one year ago. Alcohol would have destroyed my life if I didn't visited A Forever Recovery. This is the perfect facility to get up on your feet and return the control over your life. The facility is clean, beautiful and the staff is friendly and really helpful. The program itself contains different elements like yoga, guided imagery, relaxation sessions, and the philosophy and spirituality of martial arts. I liked every activity as it seemed to keep my mind out of my addiction. They had a plan and dedicated their expertise on me. I appreciate it and now I have been sober for a year thanks to their amazing service.

I had a family member of mine go to this facility to handle their drug addiction and I was very impressed with this place. I found the staff friendly and caring, they seemed to be knowledgable in what they were doing and to really care about the patients going through their treatment. I was impressed by the different programs they offer, such as music and art. It seems nice to have a creative outlet while going through something as difficult as getting clean. They offer healthy food and a work out room. I think thats important for getting ones health back after abusing their bodies for so long, Another thing that turned me on to the facility, is that they take more of a holistic approach to detox. They handle both the physical and mental aspects of addiction, they treat the whole person and not just the body. And after going through the program, my family member has remained clean and has not reverted back to his drug habit. He seems so much happier and more there mentally.

I must say that the holistic approach in the program creates a whole new concept and method to get rehabilitated from the use of substances. Having a better understanding of how and why the person took the substance in the first place, plus the nutrition factor and counseling makes this a completely different rehab experience. As a nutritionist, I feel I can recommend such a program, which will bring about outstanding results.

I have to give a shout out to all of the staff at the A Forever Recovery program. I was struggling with Heroin for a long time. I was in denial about getting help because I thought that I could control my addiction, but it turned out that I could not do it on my own. Everything about this place is top notch and the staff is very well trained. We have individual classes and there are so many classes to choose from and I like the fact that I was able to choose what direction I wanted to take. They all helped me to understand why I was using and how I got here. The detox is great and the fact that it was a medical detox was even better because they make sure you are as comfortable as possible. They have a work out room and that helped me get a lot of my strength and energy back. It was a really peaceful setting and I loved that fact that we could take walks and do things a a group as well as do things individually on our own as well. I can not say enough good things about this center and I think that if you are struggling or know anyone who is that this would be a good place for you to check out. I could not even remember what it felt like to be clean and sober before coming here and now that I graduated and am sober I owe it to them for being clean for the last 6 months.

I went there cause it was reasonably priced and one could stay up to 90 days. They were also in the middle of flux. Redoing things, seemed like things were changing all the time, counselors left. There were some really good facilitators there that I liked. I had 27 years in recovery and in AA which I believe is the way to go for addiction, AA, NA, PA etc. the 12 Steps. They didn't push this. I have mixed feelings about the place. It definitely wasn't plush, but I think that is good for a recovery center, it shouldn't be plush. We are addicts. There was good security and safely and it was well managed. An older facility. They did promise things before I got there that weren't there so the intake staff were only about getting you there. But I would recommend anyone going in to a facility to vet it first and have other people give you advice.

A forever Recovery saved one of my family member`s life and now she is a totally different person then she was before. Since we were kids she was always bored and never knew what to do with herself that was the reason she turned to drugs. But now she`s not bored anymore she has a new hobby. She said she loves to run since she started to do exercise at the rehab. The facility`s program worked for her and she said the beginning was very hard and it seemed like the time is not going but after the hard part she really enjoyed her time at the facility. I am so happy for her. A Forever Recovery is the perfect place to turn into if you need help with your drug addiction!

BEWARE this facility uses commissioned sales people to get you in the door. While you are at your worst they use pressure with you and your loved ones, to get you in thevdoor. They say the have a \'bed\' but they go fast you need to get on the next plane. We will \'hold\' it for you. Our phone \"counselor\' lied about the facility policies and treatment time. Detox facility is NOT at the 14 acre lake property, but a dingy converted office building in a bad part of town, 10 minutes away. Senior staff was rude at not very compassionate. While junior staff was very good given the work environment. 3 security guards, one nurse. Something is wrong with that picyure. Doctor seemed bored, and while he sees many patients everyday, we are unique and taking a huge step least pretend to be engaged. If you want to be treated like an inmate, go here. If not, don\'t hit the panic button. Do your research, find the right place for you. Don\'t let some guy sitting on his couch, answering his phone pressure you into a decision this big. Be brave and go somewhere with compassion, that will treat you like the unique special person you are.

You have to pay for everything...bed are very uncomfortable place is not very clean lake water is very gross. ALSO don\'t sign any papers without ready thru everything possibly eve having a lawyer present will be good. Also alot of staff are stuck up and it\'s all family owned and there all very stuck up and only Care about the check. I first began using drugs as a way to cope when my parents divorced when I was 15 years old, it first began while I was in school hanging out with the wrong crowd and I began to experiment with weed. It was just something for me to do that at the time helped me relax and not deal with the fact that when I went home my parents were not together anymore. After about a month or so of smoking the desire began to fade away and I began to start researching other drugs and going to parties and drinking, When I began drinking I would become this other person who would forget about my problems at home and I would just be around my friends and they seemed to always be there so I did not feel like I was in fear of them leaving too. Before I knew it I was turning 16 and I was smoking and drinking at least every couple of days. I gave up on school, sports and my family as I felt that they kind of gave up on me as well. With that being said hanging out with my friends constantly in doing so we all were doing the same things on a daily basis and soon we began to take it up a notch and meet new people and while doing so that opened up a whole new world to us. Who knew that we could buy pills off the street or by drugs on the corner from someone who knew someone. After a while I looked around and realized that I was now 18 yrs old, that\'s right 18!! I failed to complete high school and graduate, I gave on sports and football, and I had not made any contact with my parents in about 8 months. They had no idea what I was doing where I was or what I had gotten myself into. I began using heroin and my family had not idea I was able to keep it a complete secret from everyone that I had fallen off the deep end so bad. I remember getting a voice mail from the hospital one day saying that my mother had been taken by ambulance because she was having heart trouble and she asked them to inform me. About 5 minutes before that phone call I had just got done shooting heroin in my arm and I told myself there is no way that I could go to the hospital and have my mother see how bad I had gotten and how bad I looked. That was my wake up call, I could have lost my mother that night and because I was so high on drugs I was not able to show my face in a hospital or be there by her side. I could have never seen her again. After a few days my mother was released from the hospital and I called her to see how she was doing, Being a typical mother she said she was fine and not to worry but that she was worried about me, she said \"the son I raised would have been by my side, so I know that something is not right with you because I know that you wanted to be there with me and something kept you from coming\". I will never forget that, I asked my mother to meet me and she agreed. Once she saw me she could not even speak, she just embraced me in her arms gave me a hug and would not let go. She said what have you don to yourself and why have you not called out for help. I had track marks all up and down my arms I looked as though I only weighed about 90 pounds and my hygiene was awful, My mother already knew that I was having a problem with drugs and because she is my mother she already had some place set up for me to go to. I said how did you know? She said baby you are my son, I gave birth to you and a mother knows when something is just not right with their child. I just cried and told her that I was ready to go. She sent me the the A Forever Recovery program and from the moment I got there and walked in the doors I felt like I was in the right place. Everyone was very welcoming and they all seemed to have a really good grasp on what each person needed as not everyone is going through the same issues. I was able to do one on one counseling witch for mo was great because I was very reserved and I did not like talking in the first place and I had always felt judged. It was hard enough to open up to one person let alone a whole room full of people. Slowly I began to see the reason for my addiction and I was able to see a pattern with my behavior and why I was acting out. I was at the program for roughly over a month and I remember seeing my mother out in the seats at my graduation and all I could do was smile and cry. My mother gave me hope that day and the A Forever Recovery program save my life. I will never be that person again, I will never let a drug or pill or drink dictate my life and take me away from the person that gave me life. This program is without a doubt a life changing experience and I am forever great full to all of the staff that was involved with my recovery process. I encourage anyone that is having a problem with drugs or any other substance to reach out to someone and get the appropriate help needed so that you can be the best version of you that you can and that you deserve. Life is short and there is no need to waste it on something that just takes all of your feelings away and your meaning for life.
