Staff is great, kind, and very supportive. Good food, excursions, wonderful behavioral techs, nurses, and therapists. Also, very tidy! Oh, and they clean and fold your laundry. Can’t leave that out.
I had a great experience at DSRC: the staff is compassionate and eager to help, time spent there is well structured and productive with helpful group meetings throughout the day, individual and group therapy is provided, the therapists are sensitive to individual needs and therapy/recovery plans are geared towards these needs, and the food is very good and plentiful. The owner and his recovery mentor \"Doc\" are very involved in the operation of the facility. They share their hair-raising personal recovery experiences. They are quick and stern in correcting B.S. from the clients. Also, they frequently solicit client input for improvements to the operation of the center. Better yet, they are quick to follow through with these suggestions. There is an interesting diversity of clients. Clients are from all backgrounds, age groups, and substances abused. I made many friends and was sad to leave them, but we will keep in touch on the \"outside\". From DSRC, I gained a solid foundation for my recovery.
Diet and nutrition were good. Put less One On One focus. Was more like a hotel than a treatment facility.
